I agree. I like the role playing game too. Back to the Sewers has taken more of the original cartoon and gone away from the comic book. That's a bad thing. 2003 version is the best Turtles.

The idea of a rat watching some dude exorcise, and then be able to teach martial arts is fucking stupid! He wouldn't be a martial art's master, and he wouldn't be a wise mentor!
Besides, Imo, having Yoshi get mutated and then become a father figure to four mutated turtles, is pretty good. I wish they would have shown this.
yah thats one of the key issues of contention. it really all comes down to shredder and splinter origins when we talk about which series we like more.
no one argues about the voice acting or animation.
the only environment they don't work well in is time travel

Why did Peter Laird sold the franchise to Nickelodeon? He should not have sold the rights to Nick. Mirage should have kept it.

@lilrolo56 You have to remeber he had been working on TMNT for 25 years..I think he jsut wanted to give them a good home.

this is a lot more based in the comic and very little of the old animated series, which is actually not a bad thing

I like this series better than the first for the following reasons:
- Shredder is more menaceing in this series
- The characters have a better desighn and are more lovable in my opinoan
- I do't like the idea of Hamato Yoshi mutating into Splinter.

Now that I agree with.
It's my main issue with the original comics, movies and new series.
Other then this the new 2k3 series (season 1 to 5) is in many ways superior to the classic.
And I say this as a fan of the classic.

The voice acting is 100x better in the newer series too.
