  • medic for my first real rc crawler should i have a honcho

  • smth about waterproofing ESC... wont that plasti dip layer trap heat in tranzistors what will lead it to overheat?

  • @bajavas21 That is why you leave the fins, or the heat posts exposed

  • @bajavas21 Never a dumb question bro.. GLAD YOU ASKED!

  • how do you make a waterproof container?

  • i have a question about the servo once you have plasti-dipped it. Do you need to beak the seal around the spline coming out of it where you put the o-ring in? i know that after that (if you do need to do that) the o-ring will keep the servo gears sealed off from anywayer but it seems like the plasti-dip will seise the out going spline. is this correct?

  • hey medic can i get thoes leads on the reciver at pmhobbycraft?

    thanks

  • Take the hat off!

  • Hey DJ, the marine grease is tops as you use and show, a little tip for o-rings and some soft plastics, rubber grease is a better product and wont cause some types of orings to swell, and cause bind, or actually swell and become ineffective. Not saying the type of marine grease you use would, but the Castrol Rubber grease is the bomb.

Top vids, love how you dont take things too seriously, but seriously take your hobby !

I am super stoked to get this thing together...Yeah thats right I have to detach every single part from the plastic sheets and manually put it together. I wouldn't have it any other way. MrZippy4444

  • Nice thats what she said :0

  • How about sensored motors? Do I need to waterproof them somehow?

  • @NoGripEd Do your best to seal up everything without making it un-openable.

  • I've had a rc boat mishap where the Lipo was completely under water and it didn't

    explode.

It dryed out and has been fine since.

Have you had one explode that got wet?

Also, would a marine receiver be better to buy than a "normal" one?

The receiver was under water in the same incident and has also been fine since.

  • When u r putting the steering servo in the platinum dip how do u cover the servo horn

  • When u r putting to

  • U burn? Haha

  • Hey MEDIC got a question for you. When it is all said and done do you need to "water resist" the connections? IE.... The receiver lead connections to the ESC and servo's? I am almost done with the plasti-dip but don't want to void my efforts. Thanks man RC Adventures Rule!

  • Thank's a lot Medic for this video !!!!!

  • =) ={

  • Rough day dood......... :-))

  • good video what kind of sadering gun or pen do u us

  • Scaler...for 1.9 I love the g8 super swampers from pro line. When it comes to 2.2 the pit bull rock breasts are the craziest tire I have ever ran!!!!! Super soft they go throw snow like no other and rock, loose dirt, mud I broke my scx10 before they broke loose in the dirt. I did have 1.9 memory foam in them for better traction

  • With the AE2 esc with the on/off switch cut can you still get the to the settings manually? And wouldn't the rubber o-ring on the servo bind the servo? I like the traxxas servos but you are right about the steel gear part. I have all traxxas parts in my scx10. Thing works wonderful. It can take one heck of a beating lol

  • I was wondering what would be your preferred tire choice

  • hey Medic, if you get rid of your camera... i'll take it :P doubt I will get it though... worth a shot! :D awesome vid btw

  • dam it what happened to the hpi vid i wasn't done watching it :(

  • me being a mechanic and offroader ur right about the bearings and diff if u get water in itll rust out and destroy gears and bearings, u dont know how many diffs ive rebuilt or replaced after a weekend of 4x4ing
