Plus he misses all his friends from the previous schools, and he has no clues what they are up to. what he has left now is a life that is driven by work, which he wants to escape from. it is pretty sad, despite the music has a rock and roll feel to it.

no, this is Touhou. Yeah its a ripoff, but there were no lawsuits. Touhou remakes are encouraged by most japanese game companies. Mostly because they are released as freeware and made by fancommunities.

Aaaacutally, these games are sold at events such as Comic Market regularly. It's just that Japan has a different standard on games than we do. Their idea is less that it's a ripoff and more a homage, and they're fine with that. Heck, all of Touhou is essentially amateur-made by one guy. (Who has been doing this since forever so the series is really one of the best of the harvest as far as doujin games go.)

In japan non profit is made and here in the states almost all the money covers import prices/tariffs, which the Berne Convention makes no provision for.

I'm not sure on the exact figure, but MegaMari was sold at Reitaisai 3 (I think) for about 1200 to 1500 yen. Considering expenses and pressing fees, this probably comes out to about 300~700 yen profit a copy.

Not brag, just suggest that to master this game, you just need to do what you do with all game: Practice. This game was my first ever expereince with Touhou and Danmaku and I tell you it wasn't nice. My pratices from the MMMZ sereis was what helped me alot, even only slightly little.
