  • Where did you get this video? I wish there were better Sabres documentaries out there.

  • @gatechgnome It appears to be an old Moments on Ice feature that teh NHL Network airs during commercial breaks. I havent seen this one yet so It is probably a couple years old

  • Where did you get this video? I wish there were better Sabres documentaries out there.

  • LaFontaine, my all time favorite NHL player.

  • I skated against Mogilny and before that I thought I was fast...

  • Is that the raving lunatic Keith Olbermann narrating??? I woulda liked this clip otherwise...

  • one is dirty american the other is a euro trash

  • that is nuts........ to bad i was to young to remeber this

  • Great memories!

  • i miss mogilny :(

he's one of many 90s players i miss in the league.

its just not the same as it was a few years ago, all the imports in the 90s made it just that little bit more interesting, now it seems ovechkin is the only russian to have a profound effect on the league in its current defensive based form. i mean whens the next time we're going to hear of a player notching 76 goals in a season. fingers crossed stamkos!

  • 0:44 are you kidding me no wonder he raped the league in his sabres-era

  • this is a commercial-like thing on the NHL network, they have not had any buffalo sabres ones this year

  • Despite the duo, Buffalo barely finished over .500 but proved that was misleading by sweeping Boston. Of course everyone says injuries prevented them from beating Montreal but Mogilny and Lafontaine were both there for losses in games 1 and 2 while Mogilny got hurt during game 3 and Lafontaine didn't dress for game 4. Ultimately, the Habs were still the deserving winner but needed 3 straight OT wins so the series might've gone 5 or 6 if not for the misfortune. Still, Roy was too unstoppable.

  • Go Sabres

  • The injury bug always robs Buffalo of it's shot at Stanley Cup immortality.

  • The nastiest line in hockey-Lafontaine-Mogilney and Audette back in the mid 90's and add Im an Isles fan........what a line combo......

  • they teared up the league boy!

  • those guys were beasts.

  • Patty and mOgs ruled.........

  • I know, Mogilny & Lafontaine were one of the best 1-2 punches in NHL history.

  • Whats the name of that song during the video???

  • It´s also sad the way the Mogilnys career ended....In the minor leagues.

  • Geez, I did not even know about this duo. You always hear about Wayne and jarri and Hull and Oats, but never these two. Mogilny has 76 goals in 77 games that season for christs sakes! Íts too bad Pat had some bad head injuries. Where is this video from anyway?

  • I remember mogilyny and lafontaine especially in 1993. If you remember the playoffs when sabres swept the bruins and then lost to the canadiens the next round. If mogilny lafontaine and fuhr were all healthy that series i honeslty believe they would of beaten montreal and won the cup that year. They had a good team that year!

  • I was at game 3 vs. Montreal.

  • that team in 93 should have won the cup if healthy!

  • this gave me goosebumps.

okay and tell me how we didnt win the cup that year. mhm??

  • Injury.......

    many of them

  • I miss patty... what a complete and utter class act

  • Where is this snippet taken from?

  • we need more mogilny vids on youtube!

  • haha I wish I had some

  • I agree... I'll see what I can do.

  • please do Maggie! Love to see some goals from his Toronto days

  • wow mogilny is too good, look at his goals
