If you had enough freaking static you might pop one, but it's all fake. Proof of concept though - running a current and shorting it out through a bullet will set it off

No we never got it to work, can you tell us how long you rubbed, and type of clothes, cos we did for 15-30 mins 3-4 times and we didnt get anything.
I thought about getting a vandagraph generator and build up some proper static
