@quathar Yeah I think he was supposed to have strained his voice badly sometime while touring with Soundgarden during their later years and that plus age has kinda cut off his upper limits.

@IMFagentSamFisher He has started to sound better now though, a sort of a mix of his old voice and new and he can hit pretty high notes without sounding like crap again. I think you can hit high notes well up into your 60s as long as you have good technique. However, most singers, especially metal singers just sort of happened upon their voice and probably don't really know the inner workings of it, thus they lose range as they grow older and don't adapt to the body starting to wear down.

This show is from the Philadelphia Spectrum in December 17, 1991. I was at this show as they opened for GnR. If you think this sounds great here, you had to hear it echoing in the Spectrum. F%#king AMAZING! Just glad I got to seem them several times in this era including the Trocodero show in May '92 and the Tower Theater in June '94. He was slammin'
