  • i have the old antek one from 1961 verry rare

  • Ah yees, 4449 and her old whistle as a mmodel train, everyone misses her old worn out hancock 3 chime.

  • beautiful train

  • *drool drool* my favorite steam engine

  • I hate the whistles MTH uses over and over again.

  • hirofan97 - Really? I think it's saying "I think I can".

  • 0:29 i think you left somthing behind lol

  • i want those kinds of trainsthat blow smoke like for my HO trains set.

  • I like the train but the whitsel doesent sound good

  • My favorite train! 5 stars!

  • No, actually, it was released by remote control! LOL

  • Erm the coulpling snapped

  • if listen to the chuffing it sounds like its says happy birthday

  • oh weird! thats sick!

  • @hirofan97 Really? I think it's saying "I think I can".

  • I'm curently looking for this one, where did you get it and how much?

  • This IS the older one. I converted it to PS2! :)

  • Yep and now they got PS-3 lol :). Did you start converting again?

  • nice im feeling sorry i bought the older one back then instead of the new one lol

  • no offense taken, but how do I demonstrate the way kewl remote coupler operation without decoupling the train?

  • You decoupled the train on purpose through a remote? Wow thats awesome.

  • @toytrains1 - you stop the train first, then you draw the loco away from the carriages. That way, the decoupling doesn't look accidental.

  • not to be rude or anything but the decoupling just runined the whole video no offense

  • Someone decoupled early... XD

  • you american guys are lucky. The german locomotives from Märklin are sooo fuckin expensive. Theyy sell H0 scale locomotives for up to 700€

  • that sucks man, try buying some american models which are less expensive, one of my powerful engines was 32 dollars!

  • @Buemmo

those marklins are nice models, but they use AC power so i can't use them. plus they have to have special marklin track for the third rail.

  • is 406 a good price for this

  • All the Premier models start with 20- whereas the RailKing models start with a 30-.

  • @toytrains1 hey um were can i get one and how much is this loco id love to have one

  • whats the mth model number?

I dont wanna end buying a lower-end version from railking lol

  • Cool

  • The hardware upgrade (from PS1 to PS2) is a kit you have to buy and install or have installed. Once that hardware kit has been installed, you then download the sound set from the MTH web site and upload it to your locomotive using DCS.

  • Just to clarify, as I am what you would call a noob at O scale things, any how, thes upgrades are off the website, and downloaded to the dcs system correct?

  • Nice locomotive

I'm deifnitely gonna buy that engine for my collection.

Btw, what's the model number since it's hard to find it .

  • i want it.

  • how much?

  • Very Nice!!

     mustangmangz

  • why does the signal do that

  • The smoke keeps going as long as you keep it filled with smoke fluid. You can adjust the smoke volume to high, med, low, or turn it off completely using DCS.

  • does the smoke unit cut off after a while or do u turn it off( ive seen in other videos)

  • No, the upgrade was done long before the quillable whistle feature became available.

  • does that ps2 upgrade included the new quilable whistle feature? It sounds like it in the beginning

  • oh, ok. well. i was wrong. but anyway. nice set.

  • Porno for rail fans! Ha! Beautiful trains! Thanks for posting.

  • They ARE in sync, four chuffs per revolution, exactly like the prototype.

  • Comment removed

  • We we just watching the same video? They steam, sound, and wheels were all in sync.

  • how much do the engines cost

  • If you have to ask, you don't want to know.

  • exactly :)

  • how much smoke flued do u but in a steam engin i dont no how much to put in

and im not puting anogh in mine

  • you put in 4 drops.

  • Depends on the train. For an MTH Premier steamer, I usually use half an eyedropper full. If you run your steamer without enough fluid, the wick will scorch and smoke output will diminish until you have the wick replaced.

  • lol

  • do you know where i can buy a HO 4449 cheap?

  • Bachman builds 2 different ones one is 80$

and a better one that 140$ i will post a video of mine.

  • the only differince is the DCC decoder.

  • the smoke on this locomotive looks so real. the best smoke ive ever seen from a model.

  • Beautiful locomotives! I bought one not to long ago ( it took me a year to earn the money) but its worth every penny!

  • o scale

    love it

  • Who do MTH work, I want to get one of there HO GS-6's but I want it to have the ability to pull up a grade, I hate it when they only work on flat track

  • can you post a video of this whole train?

If you could that would be great!

    :)

  • I have issues with the headlight blinking...that isn't even realistic, and given the powerful level of miniaturization in our hardware production capacity, I think the manufacturers could do better with the swinging mars light. :P

  • That's a Mars light. It's supposed to blink!

  • Actually it's supposed to flash left and right...

  • they don't even flash, it is a continuous intensity light bulb that moves in a figure 8 and give it the appearance of "flashing" at some angles.

  • the way you have the information in the decoder is WRONG! I don't know if they call them CV values in o gauge mth but in a digitrax DCC decoder you go into the software and you change the settings to mars light and it does not go all the way out it changes in intensity. I will put up a video of my diesel that has the imitation mars. The way yours is set up it is a STROBE NOT A MARS!

  • Yeah. Those are cool.

  • ohhhhhhhh I want one so bad but I'm in College!

  • Me too! My HO model trains stopped running and it's got to be the powerpack or the terminal re-railer! I've checked for short circuts and other problems, but to no avail! That's why I want some O-scale trains, but they are much to expensive!

  • yea i know o scale trains r so freakin expansive i have one that probaly cost about $300.00 bucks

  • hahaha $300.00 bucks is cheap i have one that ran for $1300.00

  • Wow, but what problems did you have?

  • Due to problems with the last few newly bought Lionel locomotives that I got, I no longer buy their product. So, I stick with MTH Premier locomotives as I'm now up past 50 without a problem out of the box.

  • I need help. Which daylight are you better of buying, a lionel scale or mth premiere?

    Thanks Greg

  • The locomotive came out a while ago and the best bet would be on the secondary market like eBay.

  • WOW, she is huge!!! Thats 0-72 i think, and MTH says this beast can run on 0-42??? Have an O-42 loop??? Id love to see what it looks like on that tight radius..

  • how much does it cost?

  • Steveo928, they average about $1000.00 Msrp.

  • I want it! Where to get it?

  • GO SP 4449

  • Nice to see another 3-rail fan!

  • Simply amazing how real it sounds. I got to ride behind that engine many times as a kid. Hearing that whistle and chug took me right back!

  • WOW, MY FRIEND THAT IS STUNNING!
