It's funny how people are hating on this techno remix as if it's something totally alien, when You Are the One can be traced back to a "techno" song, called Neo (The One), by the proto-Shiny Toy Guns band Slyder.
why are you all debating what a remix is? like you even give a shit about electronic music to begin with. it's an excellent remix. one of my favorites from the album, i recognized every remix artist instantly. but the album in general has a lot of sub genres of electronica, which is brilliant, it's just something different. stop bitching.
A remix has parts of the original. It's an alternative version of the original. In this case, they altered the song to a different genre. Like "Chierushi" said... There's no point to having a remix that sounds just like the original song.
@silenc3x You're right! But this remix DOES have a small resemblance to the song. I don't get what the problem is. Besides, all I said was that there's no point to a remix sounding EXACTLY LIKE the song.
So they take one song, completely change it with something that sounds NOTHING like the original, then play 30 seconds of the original with some shitty electro overlay, then go back to something that sounds nothing like the original. Why bother? Just write your own song instead, this just sounds like a really contrived, amateur attempt at a "remix".
This is classic Freeland. If you don't like him.. you're not going to like this remix.

Love the original version, and this is totally a fun remix. I dont know why people say it sounds just like the original, it's nothing like it.

This version makes me want to find out if someone did a dubstep remix of 'you are the one'. I can barely comprehend how amazing that'd sound

There's no point to having a remix that sounds just like the song. That's dumb. This is not one of my favorites from the album though.

@Chierushi if it has no resemblance though how do you even know it's a fucking remix? The name?

@mpratt69 Um I think you were meaning to reply to hashmat187, dude. Not me.

@Chierushi wtf are you talking about... there should be a small resemblance at least... look at Gabriel & dresden's mix of this song..
If it has no resemblance, why even call it a remix. Just call it a fucking brand new song.
