As soon as you cut the blood supply to the brain, it stops functioning as quickly as possible, for thousands of years this was the best method; i don't know how good a stun gun is, maybe the animal is paralyzed and doesnt feel pain and maybe it does. Either way, prevent cruelty to animals, but they have to be bred for meat, an integral part of our diet as humans.

You're missing the whole point. The reason people don't eat meat is because we have the morale capacity to realize it's wrong. Sure, animals will be killed by other animals and die of natural causes, but we don't need to have these farms that bring life to animals specifically so that they can be killed and eating as a minor convenience by humans. As soon as you cut the blood supply to the brain, it stops functioning as quickly as possible, for thousands of years this was the best method; i don't know how good a stun gun is, maybe the animal is paralyzed and doesnt feel pain and maybe it does. Either way, prevent cruelty to animals, but they have to be bred for meat, an integral part of our diet as humans.

The Cut itself is a slit of the Jugular vein and Wind pipe, to stop blood flow to the brain to make it unconscious and minimize the death itself. It tries at least.

It's horrible to know what happens to the animals but do some research before posting your comments. I'm a meat eater and I feel bad about how these animals get killed but how else are they gonna die? Sure their are other ways to kill them but it all ends up of them dying. and there are other sources of protein ... i actually get far more protein in my current vegetarian diet than i used to in my meat diet. this is mainly because of meat substitute foods ...

Why did this turn you into a vegetarian? Did you not think before. Meat=dead animals. Oh well. Go to Africa, find a hungary lion, and protest that lion when he puts his jaws around a zebras throat and crushes it. Then protest the cruel way the other lions eat the zebra as its still alive. Sounds pretty awful dosent it? But thats the real world. So when I watch this video, it doesnt disturb me at all. Humans are animals, and animals eat other animals. Thats the natural order, it wont change

I work at an Abattoir, and from personal first hand experience I can tell you that the animals that go through (in this case Sheep) do NOT at any point feel pain. They are stunned using an electrical current, their throat is slit and within minutes of first becoming unconscious they are dead.

Very sorry to say, animal cruelty is like this:
I go up on my roof, and find like 200 pigeons up there.
I go back down, and grab a pellet gun that shoots at about 1000 Feet per sec. I go up, show a few in the throat, and kick em off my roof, and let my dogs finish the job. They NEVER come back again. What did they learn?

dahockey if this turned you veggie, it seems you are naive to the events that actually go on. these things happen and they're, but they happen for a reason. would you judge a fox for killing a rabbit? and even if you did, you think the fox is gonna say 'omg i'm a heartless beast.'
eating meat is nature for humans. stop trying to convert people to veggie its unnatural. and hold on what about those poor plants that you've killed?

I can see it now, they're ripped from the ground, and sometimes they kick dirt on the poor creature! OUTRAGEOUS! It didn't die humanely enough! DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL! :)
