Or don't bother I'd rather get 100 Full Life spells to level 100 party members + HP+20% for 9999 HP.

After all my level 100 Squall ONLY had a base HP of 4600 and refining HP+'s for 9999 HP without junctioning ANY spell to HP just isn't worth it.

I did the same for Str or Magic ie 100 Ultima's and Str or Magic +40 and +60% set for 255 Str or Magic without having to refine or Devour enemies for the stat increase.

I did this video because, the main point in your GF abilities is that you gotta max their stats by junctioning magic only, no +( -- %)s

Because if you could do that, you can junction other useful abilities like Auto-Haste, Counter, or junction Spd +40% and 20% since it's kinda hard to raise

Your characters, then, will be as fast as a bullet ;)

Here are the best way to max your stat, assuming you have done the CC group quest before, you can keep getting rare cards from the left of the twins in Ragnarok.

Str - Eden Card>3 Monk codes>3 Str Ups

Vit - Gilgamesh/Minotaur>10 Holy Wars/Adamantite>2 Vit ups

Mag - Money

Spr - Money

Spd - 2 Irvine Card>6 rocket engines> Spd up

@Tyson55977 I discovered why you can't find it: in theory, Tomberry has already learnt all his abilities, but in reality he misses "call shop". To be able to unlock it you must delete one of the other abilities (my advice: GF, because quite every GF has got it). Once you do it you'll find it on Tomberry's list.

I seem to be having problems. I'm up to where you first get the Ragnarok, and yet I cannot Junction Magic to Status? Elemental Attack and Defence works, but not the Status ones. I guess I'm doing something wrong then... I'm sure I unlocked them by leveling up the GF's.

@mujuma Check your GFs abilities, it goes that: No GF learned it (which maybe weird 'cause some GFs have it already learned...) or maybe you used something to make them forget them, or you didn't junction that GF at all to the character!

It is a nice way. I use it, but I discovered another way that I think may be faster. I enter the Deep Sea RC and move arround in the Bahamut level. I have Squall with Kamikaze, Irvine with Lv Down and Quistis with Devour. My trick is to Lv Down Bahamut up to 48, next I use Kamikaze (which cuts off about 45.000hp) and Devour, which hardly ever fails. I use Pho. Down on Squall and repeat it again. It is fast and easy, but a bit boring as well.

I actually have a good challenge that I personally would like to see for this game, No juntcion, stat up, and best weapon play through. Meaning you can't have junctions to status, you cannot use status ups, nor the Lionheart, or any other best weapon for the other characters but you can have the second best.

There is a much faster way to do this. You can reach the end with your characters below level 50 (actually easier than playing with them above 50) and then junction cactuar to one char and set str, mag, spr, and vit bonus in abilities, then level that person up. Partway, when str gets high enough to max, swap to hp bonus. (hp and str are easiest) Then you just junction the right magics to each stat and they'll be max with no bonus items.

@MatrixAyoub but you're showing your people at Ultimecia Castle, in disk 4. I assumed therefore that people trying your method already had the ragnarok. Sure, not everyone knows how to get cactuar but they can look it up.

But there's also bonuses on other GFs, such as mag bonus on Siren, combined with spr bonus (leviathan) and vit bonus (carbuncle) and you're golden. Not maxed, but very close when lv 100 and junctioned properly. All 3 of those GFs are drawn from bosses if you were checking.

Well I was saying alternatively if you don't have cactuar you can use mag up (Siren), spr up (Leviathan), and vit up (Carbuncle) and all of those GFs are drawn from a boss, so you have em if you paid attention.

I'm not trying to argue, I just always felt that farming stat ups was so tedious it was literally easier to start a new game and get the GFs I missed. I did that though I didn't have to since in my first game I was lv 40s and got em all from castle

1- go to Esthar City, Go to the Shopping Mall there.

2- when it says "You want to go shopping?" put yes and keep clicking on Johnny's Shop (which is Esthar Shop!!!) even if it says come back tomorrow or whatever, keep clicking until it opens once.

3- you should have the Call Shop ability learned to Tonberry. When you open the shop at least once, it is always the the Call Shop menu.

I know that when you open the Esthar Shop!!! (aka Johnny's shop) once, you can find it in the Call Shop menu... but you can't find Cottages unless you have the Familliar ability which lets you find rare items, try to unlock it and search for Cottages again ;)

@JesseGunter When you arrive at Esthar City, try to find the shopping mall (or whatever...) when you click on it, it says: "You want to go shopping" choose Yes and choose Johnny's Shop, if it didn't open from the first try, keep clicking and clicking on Johnny's shop until it opens, then when you enter the shop once, it unlocks at your Call Shop ability menu :)

I just junctioned a bunch of magic to one character at a time and used them to fight T-rexaurs over and over outside of Balamb. I had my hp is the 6000 range, but my attack and vitality were only at about 120-130ish. I've still got a ways to go, but I'll get there...eventually.

It's interesting...this game is one of the oldies, yet it still beats the hell outta some of the other Final Fantasies. I recently got this game from PSN for my psp, and currently I have about 23 hours of gameplay on it, and I have squall at level 57, Zell at level 39, and then...well, the others just suck as it is now. (level 34 and below). I'm still on disc one though. :P

You know, I personally find it truly tiresome to spend 90 minutes on getting max gil for stat ups. I completed the card quest today, which means that I can get infinite rare cards from the CC club members on the Ragnarok. I prefer refining these into stat ups, as it's faster, easier (as the twins are pretty easy), and they use the card you just refined 50% of the time until you win it from them. XD

@abun1991 Really? It's actually pretty easy. Basically, the higher numbers win.

So, if a player sets a card with 8 on the top and 7 on the left, and you play a card with 8/9/10 right next to it, your card will turn the opponent's one, as yours has the higher number. I made a video tutorial of all of this, it's really easy. Compared to Tetra Master from FF9 for sure. :D

@abun1991 Yeah, these rules are a pain, because the AI will always try to drive you into a corner where they will get a PLUS and turn all cards for them... xD

You can manipulate rules though, google that stuff, it's pretty simple once you understand what to do. I did that for the Twins from the CC Club on the Ragnarok. They normally use Random (ANNOYING!), and I made them abolish it. ;D

Is there a way in an emulator to automatically press a sequence of keys? There are programs that emulate any sequence of keystrokes that you'd like, and they work normally

but for some reason they don't with epsxe or other emulators.

If it were possible, you could pretty much put this is autoplay and come back to 100 str ups, etc.

I have all of my characters at level 100 and almost all my GFs at level 100. I got every ultimate weapon and have pretty much done everything possible in this game. But I haven't maxed everyones stats like this, but now I know I've got something else to do. Maybe this will make Rinoa stronger when she goes into Angel Wing mode. Cause she can take off about 70,000 HP with a meteor spell, but technically, she should be able to take 100,000HP max once each hit equals 9,999 HP.

i've been trying to get the "Esthar Shop!!!" unlocked for the longest time. I've received the Rosetta Stone from the Esthar Shopping Center as well, thinking that it would do the trick. but to no avail. is there a sure-fire way to unlock said "Esthar Shop!!!" or at least find cottages sold elsewhere?

Keep pressing on the shop, even if it says it's closed or come back tomorrow (forgot what it says...), just keep pressing until it opens for you, once it opens, it will be avalible at your Tonberry's Call Shop ability :)

for Str ups and vit ups, just card mod eden and minotuar, the 3 monk codes from eden turn into 3 str ups under forbid med rf (Doomtrain) and the 10 adamantines from minotuar turn into 2 vit ups as well. The cards you mod will be easy to get back if you simply card duel any of the card cc group members, whether in disc 3 or 4.

that will save a lot more time for those two stats.

Hey Guy...If youre glitch stay....Do this...Go in youre FF8 Folder and copy ...the Save File .... And Paste it in another..Place.... Then re.install youre FF8 and now put youre save folder back .... Now you dont must repeat the beginning and can play without problems ... I THOUGHT^^ Sry for bad english :P
