  • One of the best... amazing to see in person!

  • If you think they are beautiful here... try to see they live! It's a thousand times better to watch them with our own eyes!

  • Truly amazing... Gives me chills every time. It is just as amazing on video as it was in person!!

  • Be going to Georgia next month can't wait! Cheers from America!

  • Asssssssssssa! I love Caucasian culture!

  • Mi favourite performance of cirque du soleil. Not fancy scenario... Just pure talent. The two main dancers are extraordinary!!!

  • ¡Bella voz!

  • truly beautiful!

  • Somehow reminds me of old georgian mountain legends, where all kinds of strange creatures crawl out at night and haunt the roads...

  • ...i never really can figure out how cirque du soleil decides which performance to use for a show. the reason this one is in varekai still baffles me. not going to lie, this is one of my favorite performances' in the show. i just don't get the point of it.

  • @tokyogirl345

Varekai means "wherever" in Romanian. This Cirque du Soleil show is described as an "acrobatic tribute to the nomadic soul" and was inspired by the cultures of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The Georgian dance is a straightforward tribute to its inspiration and a direct reflection of Varekai's theme.

  • @alladinmoua

I *do* always love me a good acrobatic tribute to anything... :o)

  • Que genial esa danza llena de energia , masculinidad ;)

  • My husband and I saw this Cirque du Soleil performance when it was her in SF. Man! Did we get pumped up during this performance! Those guys are AMAZING!!! Everyone was clapping and standing up! Very cool!!!

  • Movimento isn't available on iTunes or anywhere, most unfortunately. However, Cirque Tribune points to a Premium DVD released in mid-2003 that has Movimento in it somewhere!

  • does anyone know where i can get this song?

    varekai isnt on ituenes

  • the song is so magical & i love the georgian dance! its my favourite!

  • does anyone have 'movimento' ?!

  • magariaaaaaaaaaaaaa gaixaret qartvelebooooooooooooooooo

    vivaaaaaaaaaaaa georgiaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • ahh, my brothers !!

    cirque du soleil <3

  • This is one of my favorite CdS performances.

I always feel bad for the third soloist though. The audience doesn't realize he is dancing on the knuckles of his toes! That's so difficult & deserved more applause.

  • @freefluxing yeah i know its sucks. Not alot of people actually notice that, and thats very hard to do and takes alot of practise. he slams his feet and you really need to get your skin hardend and feer conditioned for that.. i love Georgian dances their very disciplined, almost to perfection. love it.

  • @DudeWasteYourTime not to mention, that these guys loose the nails on their toes...

  • I like, but really don't like those things in the background with their faces on their heads. It's a really creative idea to make them seem non-human, but at the same time, very creepy.

  • I don't remember this, but the tune is so familier...

  • why do ppl like this song?i love it myself but why? it is just a dude going ahhhh ahhh ahhhh! ahhhhhh AHHHHH!!!

  • @MrGimli2 Welcome to Cirque Du Soleil. Just about every show of theirs involves some song that's nothing more than improvisational rambling. But, some people like the sound of that. I do too in some cases. But here, not quite so much.

  • @luv4manga and how do you know that just outa curiosity?

  • @MrGimli2 Well, listen to them. Undoubtedly some of their songs are actually saying something. But in some cases, they're just sounding out vowels. (Like in this song. I can guarantee you that no language exists in the world that is composed of nothing but "Ahhh".) It takes skill, and it's very well done, don't get me wrong. But it gets old.

  • @luv4manga

If you knew anything about Cirque or the musicians involved in this show you would eagerly retract the statement about the songs being "improvisational rambling". The musicians in the show play thoroughly composed and rehearsed pieces to perfection every night for 2 1/2 hours (sometimes twice a night). How ignorant, disrespectful, and unappreciative of true artistry and hard work. You should here how the song has transformed in the past year. It's beautiful!

  • @abalaba44 I admit that "improvisational" was a poor choice of words, but in cases such as this they are NOT actually saying something. That's my point, is that the songs don't necessarilly have lyrics that mean something. They're well done, they have atmosphere, and they have feeling. (Though, that gets on my nerves and I get tired of listening to it after a while.) But I'm not trying to say that their songs are just made up on the spot, or something.

  • i NEED this song! without the clapping! love it

  • The name of the song is Lezginka... like the name of that wonderful dance...

    Greetings!

  • where can i find this song?

    what's the song's name?

  • @mcirque how did you recored this? it is great

  • Awesome!

  • super

  • This is cool stuff. Good Job Georgians go represent.

  • and u dont fkin make ur career by selling ur national treasure. that's a must!

  • p.s. if u are using elemenst of some national lance and music, u have to mention it in the programe... and if u are not, then u are assholes! I will take care of this .. soon!

  • What the hell are you talking about?

These are GEORGIAN dancers, all former Sukhishvili soloists, performing what is called the GEORGIAN dance in the show's programma and on the show's official website.

Which is why this video is called GEORGIAN dance, and the performers are GEORGIANS.

So what are you talking about?

  • Everyone has right to use elements of national treasure.

Why can't you perform a national dance in a different country?

And I'm half Georgian, born in Tbilisi.

So shut the fuck up about me not knowing about Georgian dance. YOu have no right to assume that I'm american and know nothing.

  • thanks for uploading this! awesome XD er where is Georgia anyways? i'm so ashamed that i don't know where it is V__V

  • It's near Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbadjan and has a Sea. (Black Sea)

    try wikipedia ;)

  • oooooooooooh okay thanks :) i thought it was close to Russia but i wasn't quite sure

  • Why are they not allowed to perform elements of our national dance at another place?

If it can be Sukhishvili and Erisioni, why not Cirque du Soleil?

Everyone knows it's Georgian dance, and people like Temur Koridze, Badri Esatia and Khvicha Tetvadze have all the right to SHOW THE WORLD what national treasures our country has
