I personally only started watching Freakazoid! after seeing so many great clips from it on YouTube, and I was actually disappointed when I saw the episode with this clip. I thought it was funnier cut THIS way. xD
God bless you, Jack Valenti — God bless you AND your cheeks.
@marcster1994 I guarantee that teenage babysitters who have gotten straight As on their high school report cards to an extent where they can make high honor roll would be a whole lot better than those soccer moms.
The children's names are in reference to the old TV show Family Affair...Buffy and Jody were the two kids (a boy and a girl).
Why do I know this? Because at the same time that Freakazoid was airing (during the glorious Animaniacs days as well), Family Affair was enjoying a stint on TV Land, and thats what I watched at my grandmother's house when she watched me in the afternoons. TV Land, I believe, is how I understood a random Perry Como reference on Animaniacs as well.
@KarthXLR That is technically incorrect. NC-17 is allowed in theaters, but they usually do badly (because of their limited audience) most theaters (major chains) aren't willing to take a film with this rating, however some "art houses" will show these films. Usually, since NC-17 has such a bad connotation to it, movies get edited to PG-13 and then are re-released unrated on DVD/etc. Look up Showgirls for example.
@Omegatron666 Not to mention the MPAA and ESRB have made countless slip-ups in their ratings of some programs. I've seen some PG movies that should be R, R movies that should be PG13, E games that should be T, T games that should be E, T games that should be M, M games that should be T, blah blah blah...
I watched movies with lots of brutal violence, gore and sex all the time when i was changing channels as a kid and my parents did not seem to care lol.
@CyberLance26 Wow, I wonder if that possible led to high schools permissively letting their students to watch R-rated films that are considered teaching tools, because the high school I graduated from is definitely no exception, despite how nervous I was at the time.
@kphantom14 When I went to see it, I expected a nostalgia-infested babysitter in his or her teens or twenties dragging a bratty child out to see it, especially after seeing numerous rants on this site and on deviantART about how Disney has been like over the past several years.
Jack Valenti was one of the biggest douchebags in the history of Hollywood, but this is pretty hilarious, especially since you would have an extremely hard time finding ANY NC-17 movies in theaters, because almost no theater carries them.
I recommend everyone to watch "This Film is Not Yet Rated," because it is an absolutely incredible and maddening reveal of the ridiculousness of the MPAA and it's ratings.

That seriously how you judge movie? Because by that logic,
Citizen Kane/The original Star Wars Trilogy/Every movie from the 30s=50s = Garbage
Epic Movie/Vampires Suck/The Hottie & The Nottie = Pretty Good
Who's Your Caddy/Pledge This/Uwe Boll's Movies = Righteous.
2 Girls 1 Cup = Xtasy.
Whatever, man. Different strokes for different folks.
