great voice and great arrangement. sounds like columbo arrangement. she sounds like a female russ columbo who i am crazy about. ruth has great voice. this first time i have her. i knew she existed but never found a post with her excellent singing.

Sounds so sad. And really the lyrics call for that. But so many of us swing it into gleefulness.

I guess the melody compells us toward that end. And the chord progression I've heard to accompany the lead line of this piece aren't especially poinient. HMMM.
