Wow, really nice, I didn't know we can do that with blender ! may be because I have the 4.49b... what's the current version ? and which version do you use ?
It's not a good new that you don't plan working further on effects in Blender. You are one of the greatest blender hackers I've ever found, you have my permanent subscription... and I can only dream to know blender as well as you. I've learnt a lot from your tutorials for 2.4+, including tricks with portals, indexes, etc. I was astonished and pleased that this poor-looking blender has such tremendous possibilities. And you were the one who showed this to me, to us. Please, don't drop this line.

nice Krakatoa mimic... any chance of making them into shapes like animals, etc - like in some of the Krakatoa demos?

Very nice looking effect! This would not be out of place in something such as Harry Potter.

@piotao I'm not stopping. I just slow down the pace a bit. Thanks for your concern.

How big is the file and how much ram would you need for that?
ronstero 5 months ago
@ronstero The .blend file is 938 mb in size. The particle cache files are 15gb and ram consumption while rendering is between 5 and 6 gb.
