The Gadget Show Critical List: Mountain Bikes

The format should get people in the field of whatever they test to reccommend/review and then the presenters give their take. If I bought an MTB off the back of this review it'd be sad (not the Whyte of course). If it was me, I'd review in three categories or four - HT, FS (trail) and freeride, probably, Santa Cruz for FR, Epic/Stumpy for FS and my personal fave the Stumpy hardtail. For DH, bring on anything with Boxxer setup

the man's right, the Whyte is the only MTB of those three. The Hummer would get thrapped by a Halfords bike (s'right, ignore the price) and that electric effort would sooner shit itself than LOOK at a canal towpath.

it'd be good to see the gadget show take an indepth look at mountainbikes, sadly this ain't that.

Proper bikes cost proper money, the stuff you find in Toysrus are in fact, toys... These bikes that are £500.. £1000.. and beyond are proper pieces of kit that are made to perform.

because my friend, a bicycle of this kind, can go way faster than a motorbike if u know how to use it, it does not consume any fuel and it makes you healthier. Search for downhill to see what i meen...

Paratroopers aren't dropped into direct combat if it can be helped. Giving them the bike actually means they could be dropped further away from the combat and still get there quicker than running. Bet the original model doesn't have a bright red crossbar though!
