They are humbuckers technically, butbtheybdont have the sound or output of a full size humbuckers. Hey are just quiet single coils. Just like all the other noiseless pickups out there. They sound really great.

@stefanoskoleniaris they only look like single coils! they are a pick-up called a stacked humbucker... which means instead of parallel coils like you see on a standard humbucker (double coil), they actually stack one on top of the other. so you have 2 coils, hidden in the space of one - the major reason for this innovation was to avoid any extra routing or modifications to original stratocaster guitars - some that can cost as much as your house. i think dimarzio made these for Yngwie originally.

Zakk is one of the most overrated guitarists in the world, his music is so simple its funny, also not creative at all.
