I feel so proud now haha. If you had gone down past Natty Greene's (which would be to the left as you face away from the art store you were at, I believe) you would have found a building filled with junk. it's quite an interesting thing. I've never figured out how and why it came to be. that's just an fyi though haha
@jacobowski2112 Just randomly looking back at this video and saw your comment.Do you mean Elsewhere Artist Collaborative? If so, I know its story if you want to know it--or you can look it up. I'm a lifelong member-supporter of it(though it's only open in the summer, you DEFINITELY need to check out the place. It's a treasure trove of 1930s-80s nostalgia. Also an amazing spot for a date-how can you complain or be tense at a huge building with art installations and toys you can manipulate at will?!
heh heh you still got its address (223) a bit messed up. <3 Your dyslexia is lov-er-ly, as in wouldn't it be loverly (it would, and it was!). Sorry I didn't know about the cookies beforehand, and too bad your camera's low lighting didn't pick up the eloquent details of the hotel and such.
I look almost as shy in front of your camera as I was. If you'd like to include some of my footage of , I can send it to you or filelodge it (you're in it).
hmm, not likely. I (his host in North Carolina) wasn't a cohost during Ironman... I'm a different person alllltogether. Just happened to host him here since I've been a fan for a long time and caught the video before he departed. There were very very few people on at 5am when I was cohosting... that's the reason I was okay with it--I knew everyone but 2 or 3 people in the room, and I later got to know them.
if your going to atlanta joe u have to have a meal at the sun dial restaurant, it is a revolving restaurant on top of the peachtree plaza hotel it overlooks the enitire city and the view is breathtaking also have lunch at the varsity it is amazing
The road is long, with many a winding turn... Joe, it is of my opinion that two things you know well: politics and good food. feels like I'm there and I am enjoying it much!
your coming to atlanta thats awesome, one suggestion, go to the varsity, there food may shorten your life because its all fried but you won't regret it. its so good!!!
help atention please!! south Korea's government try to change anonymity system into real-name system at kr.Youtube. this is very unreasonable and dirty action. please, attention, world netizen all of you.
These videos are really cool. Your political commentary is great, but it was a video like this that I stumbled across (the one where you ate pig) that made me subscribe.
Hey joe nice video man, and thanks for beating up that crap it was soooo cool. anyhow good luck and keep those videos coming. i'm looking forward to them. "Hey ATL(Atlanta)Joe is on his way."
We went to the waterfront shrine to industry, with the giant Barnes & Noble castle with the Hard Rock Cafe Guitar on top. It was a surreal, futuristic corporatized sci-fi land.
Dude Joe what the HECKK!? Way to not be psychic and randomly show up at my school! Geez! I live Arlington; you could've come by. I probably would've gotten up and ran out of whatever class I was in at the time to go outside, where you'd happen to be walking by, because you wanted to observe the exterior of the #1 high school in the nation(:
But nooo, no. You went to talk to green screen guy. Who was cool... but still.
Hmm, in Denton, eh? I think he mentioned never having been to Dallas, so how about the Metroplex area for walking around--weather there is usually nice this time of year, right? Are there any historic sites there? Anyone important get destroyed in your city (save some sports fans' egos)? I remember Mockingbird Station having some interesting things going on when I was there. Best bet=stick to older parts of town in general, since ugh on Frisco etc. BTW, this is Laura (yes, he caught me on film)
Oh yeah, and if he ever watched that TV show Dallas... there's Southfork Ranch... and the JFK assassination conspiracy museum seems right up his alley. Just my thoughts. In any case, feed him good food, and he'll be a happy person. He is all about local stuff, though we skipped barbecue to get scallops and short ribs here. (and my name to you=greensboro... forgot to mention)
Joe Felice's Road Trip will grace the heart of the south...too bad you can't be doing this in the summer, cause you'd have to go see a Braves game.
Maybe you can find time to hit up the Varsity for some food, there's one on North Avenue that's the main one.
Hint: If you do go to The Varsity, don't get confused by the catchphrases...a yellow dog with stings and a PC is a mustard dog with fries and a chocolate milk.
As always Smart Comedy and thanks for the history lesson as well. N.C. sounds like it treats you well. My question, was a time capsule being cased while you were near 232 Elm or across from Woolworths? I'll be checking out James Chandler K. (or is that a C.) Politico Vlog on your reference. Thanks for the updates.
Oh, and if you happen to make it to Montana, we make oatmeal cookies just the way you like 'em! May your journey continue joyfully.
Of course, 'taint gonna stop this ol' gal from inviting'. For a northern trip, Spring/Summers better anyway...unless you like to ski...what am I talking about. Global warming's turning this place into Eden.
I'll at least say this much (since I'm the one in the video): NC does definitely treat you well. The people here are awesome. I'm in the process of leaving it and my feet are dragging more and more as the day approaches. It's a pity the lighting on the camera wasn't great at night--the hotel is gorgeous, their food amazing, the *223* South Elm also lovely in both manners and with their original 1800s stamped metal ceilings, etc.,which almost all of our downtown preserved. What's the capsule ref?
I hope wherever your travels lead it is at least as awesome as where you are leaving.
Joe called the building ya'll were filming a time capsule. Showcasing the artisanship American used to put into things. Maybe this is the direction a recession will lead us. Back to putting heart into our material goods.
I thought of that once I'd already commented... I'm heading to a place that unfortunately does the typical tear down everything once it hits 30-60 years of age... if we respected the works of humans as much as the lives of them, I think more places would have these lovely time capsules (the one he was showing is a jeweler from the 1800s, still in its original place, beautiful as ever... as I mentioned to him, it's a bit like Audrey @Tiffany's). I do wish integrity was not just a regional trait.
...and I highly doubt you're 107 like your page says, too? My account name has nothing to do with me being that person or not, especially since BlogTV is where he got to know me a bit, not youtube-you can feel free to ask him. Are there really that many people who could randomly reply with things like the correct address of the restaurant (he misnamed) that happened to have the stained glass back window or that could tell you about Schiffman's, the jewelry store the other person asked about?
I use to date a vegetarian....you guys are sooo cool....i learn to like vegitables and i show her eating meat is not bad...she ended up eating meat after 10yrs of just being veggie.
