Hahahahahaha i love this review simply for the joker t-shirt! I've seen this movie myself and it just made no really sense and half of whats going on never gets explained!
you are whining in this review a lot. which makes you sound like you are purposelly trying to make this movie look bad. maybe that's the point, but It doesn't really look like such a shit movie, but amusing review nevertheless with your jokes and pasted in movie clips
This movie was so scary I never looked upon it as being a shit movie. It is definitely flawed and hasn't aged well. I still think it's one of Carpenters best though.
I always liked the bizarre ambience of this flick. Carpenter does tension the way Hitchcock did suspense. You feel like you, along with these characters, are at ground zero just before an extinction-level event. I didn't get the bugs and worms, though. That stuff doesn't gross me out. Is Carpenter implying that nature is disgusting? The part with the guy falling apart into a pile of roaches reminds me of 'The Nest' (which is another Shitcase-worthy flick). Projectile vomit is hilarious. XD
Prince of Darkness came on the SyFy sometimes, but I never really sat through it. I don't even know what it had to do with the title, I didn't see no Prince. Good Review John.
@sfighter991 There's no sense in trying to watch any real movie on SyFy. They bleeped "You're GOOD Ash, and I'm BAD Ash" from ARMY OF DARKNESS, presumably because they thought he was saying "ass". Yes, they didn't pay close enough attention to know it was the main character's NAME.
Fun review, taking the piss out of Prince of Darkness a bit, lol. I personally love this film, bizarre as it may be. And how can you not love the king-sized, lopsided 'tache? Ever notice it's kinda longer on the one side? It's like that throughout the entire film. That's some good continuity there by Carpenter :)
Another reviewer once said that "Prince of Darkness" was John Carpenter's love letter to Italian Horror, because the movie feels like it was influenced by Lucio Fulci or Dario Argento. It's unreal and dreamlike.
The only really scary as terrifying scene I remember from this is the mirror one. My god, that was terrifying.

Honestly, I'd be more impressed if the green stuff really was shit. That would take a St. Patrick's Day level of green food colouring to achieve.

Hey Shitcase! I know you're a child of the 80's, so how about reviewing Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn and Megaforce?
Don't think, just do it!
Or it's ninja throwing stars with that coffee.... Not a good way to start a morning, I assured you.
