  • I have a 968 that had a cold start problem. I believe, if I'm not wrong that it was the fuel pump relay. I replaced it with a comparable 993 part (I believe I paid around $35 US dollars) and since then all my problems went away.

  • @OYAHHH Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. The problem was the battery. I think the old one had low Ampere. I bought a higher ampere and the problem went away.

  • @satux360 Hey, You are welcome, BTW, if you want to see my car I just put a video up yesterday of it. Just go to my channel.

  • Thank you so much for your help. I am not sure if I solve it. The diagnostic said me about something error on Camshaft Position Sensor. That could be the problem, but very expensive to change it because I must to take out the timing belt and all the parts where is rotor is located to put a new sensor. I changed the battery for now(a good one, NO Duralast from Autozone) so I have two weeks with it, the hard start is gone or is not too hard to start as before.

  • This one seems different from my intermittent hard-start problem. Did you solve it? My first guess would be the fuel pump check valve near the pump fails to maintain a proper fuel pressure, while the DME computer thinks there should still be pressure.
