The Clovers original version from the late 50s was by far the best the Searchers were OK but the Coasters released this in 1971 and it is little known because it didn't sell there were so many member changes they are unrecognizable from their hay day when they were by no means in the elite of Doo Wop groups even then although fairly popular

My personal favorite version, have always loved this song. Had The COASTERS version "favorited" from another source but YouTube yanked it for some unknown reason. Funky before that was a word!!! All Hail the songwriters for the catchy tune: LEIBER & STOLLER wrote so many of the greatest songs.
