I agree entirely with your 'Games that you pound you if you lose you power-ups are bullshit" statement.
I much prefer games like Raiden where a certain amount of your powerups are left behind for you to recollect, leaving you much less powerful, but still not completely useless.
Silkworm was a great game. One thing I remember is that the "duck" helicopters were easy to deal with if you had the invulnerability cloud and just flew straight into the body, since it dealt damage really quickly just by staying there. Have to play through Silkworm again some time; always preferred it to SWIV (SilkWorm In Vertical as some suggest).
You had a taste of that klingon ale before that bit about the helicopter realism right? :P This game was a lot of fun in two player mode... if you played the helicopter and not the jeep of course. The ST had a lot more funny sound effects than the amiga on this it seems, especially when you hit the duck superchoppers.
another great game!
was really fun with 2 players.

Well, I would watch it.
Well played, I never played past the first level, although I remember choosing the jeep more.
I first played SWIV and a year or so later I played this one. SWIV looks amazing, but this looks quite good for what it is.

Do Project X, it's still one of the best classic shooters.

I used to play this two player. The sequel was epic two player fun as well. It was called SWIV

They are called "Gooseneck" helicopters!
One of my favorite shooters on the Amiga and one of the best on the platform!

@Quimbyrbg yeah that seems much better. Otherwise the difficulty curve makes a sudden rise whenever you die.

@seanseanston ah, good tip. Those duck helicopters are too frequent I think. Mix it up a bit.
