  • DJing in 92, Played this and the dance floor cleared out, They weren't ready for this smash hit, sold all my vinyl went to mp3, Looked for this for years, drunk one night searched it and behold: Long lost jam from the 90's wow!!! what this could have been, Im gonna throw in my mix on my next set, we'll see if I get the same reaction from 92!!! Yeah!!!!!!!

  • @MrGlootube hope u r checking in, cuz it's there bud! : )

  • I was only 14 years old........ absolutely LOVED this tune

  • Yeah!

  • and i actually have this on 7" single!

  • i have just sent the night i 1992 revisiting all the old songs on here, absolute quality!!! The songs of today come NOWHERE near them!!!!

  • Oh my God. I love this track. I was such a good little girl in Sixth Form in Uxbridge, North West London. I went to University in Salford in 1992, discovered alcohol, many other things and generally just let loose in response to the previous 18 years. This song just brings it all back, how hedonistic and estactic my life was back then. Everything was so free and unfettered back then. I'm 37 now. I don't feel old but I hate the way 37 sounds so old. This song makes me feel 18 again! :-)

Fast forward to 2011 the only thing that has changed is its now a silver TT Roadster, and I'm an old b*****d maaaaaaaaaaash uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup

Bring back those happy happy days :)

  • The same thing happened to me. I was watching Running Man and heard that line. This was my favorite song back in 92. Whenever I would hear it in the club, I would stop what I was doing, look for my friend Tony and march out on the dance floor, proceeding to dance my ass off. This song brings back so many good memories. And it still rocks. I'm adding it to my workout playlist. Hugs to everyone!

  • I love me too.

  • i love me

  • Oh thank f**k!!! I was watching The Running Man for the 1st time in YEARS last night, and as soon as I heard "Who Loves You and Who Do You Love?!" in it, I had a chill going down my spine.....I just KNEW there was something connecting that sentence to copious amounts of pills back in the day......mystery solved!!!!! :D

  • @Nyah420 Check out zero zero - zeroxed on kickin records/champion sound.Messiah was also on this record label.Fecking awesome shit from the early 90's.

  • Ok sample spotters from the old days.... work out who these guys are... the female vocalist ("Did I dream...") had a relationship with the son of the person who wrote the origional track, she is being sampled in the cover version. Forget abvious movie samples folks, the obscure is where its at!

  • @thelukewarmwonder

Liz Fraser of Cocteau Twins, song to the siren ??

  • @funeasy06

Yeah and its a cover of a Tim Buckley track, look it up if you havent heard it, pretty spooky when he sings "did I dream"

  • @thelukewarmwonder: that's not "him" singing, it's Liz Fraiser ... she was with This Mortal Coil when they did that song

  • I have this very 12" single shown in the picture above.

  • this tune was the start of something big in a long gone past !!classic

  • I remember I bought this on cassette when it first came out! Ha-ha!!

  • choooooooonnnnnnnnnnn

  • ubóstwiam

  • TUNE

  • I had this on mix tape 20 years ago!! just discovered THIS MORTAL COILS version of Song To the Siren...where the line "Did I dream you dreamed about me?" in this song was sampled from. pretty freaking awesome:)

  • I used to have this on 12" vinyl until my ex way back when through all my records down the stairs when I told him we were through. Classic tune from my 'rave' days 20 years ago, now that makes me feel old.

  • 20 thousand hardcore members!

  • sampled from The Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger

  • This brings back memories.

  • shit......i still have and bump this on my records.......youngsters dont know what hit them......

  • Loooooooovvveeee this track.

So many nights at various raves...glo-sticks, whistles, "smart" drinks, and hot sweaty girls who just loved riding on my shoulders while dancing........damn you for bringing back these memories : )

  • Are the Prodigy and Massive Attack the only survivors of this era.

  • @lloid6619

Praga Kahn are still going, but they're now called Lords Of Acid

  • I have goose bumps big big time omg

  • WTF Crap!!

  • Wtf Crap!!

  • Not me ultra, at 37 I lived through this era in dance music, hell I lived for it. Fantasia, Carl Cox, Rat pack, Mikey B, Q-Tex, QFX, you name it, what a time, such treasured moments, this album still beats most of the modern dance crews hands down, apart from Scott Brown's elysium plus, System F's out of the blue, BINARY FINARY and anything by The Prodigy

  • Awesome! This reminds me of a most excellent summer :D

  • awesome song. thanks for posting it

  • that's the point.

  • @sensetalker aha. So if it was repeated over 10 minutes it would be twice as good as the current 5 minute version?

The song, as it is, should be a 3-minute-mix (typical "radio edit" or something like this). At 5 minutes it needs another break part.

I would spank my neighbor soooo bad in his 28k corvette. It may seem simple, but they best spanking came while I was driving and listening to this song on WBER 90.5 waaay back in 92. He was a good driver btw and was pissed about his red arss.

  • now thats what i call a memory x

  • Mark Davis & Ali Ghani had a gud one with the "Killian" sample. Tho many techno/hardcore/jungle/old skool producers used many samples from 80's & 90's films....
