@dziady1@dziady1 blah blah blah... I see you left more less the same comments to other violinists' videos. Feel free to have your own oppinion, but honestly isn't a bit of bore to go on about the same lamenting - oh, all that sawing about, they don't know music, oh sad, whatever happened to young violinists!
By the way, Ms Chung is now over her 60 and still remains one of the best accomplished violinists. So talking about her musicality here is really balking at the wrong tree. Good day!
If all those recordings of high schools playing classical music would be as good as this, I would spend....2 hours listening to classical music. And by god is she good!!
Is that a table cloth she is wearing? It so reminds me of those shockers Kiri Te Kanawa from my country used to wear then in the 70s. People on her videos comment more on the dresses than her singing.
Still, with this great playing, anything can be forgiven! :)
'constipated' is a very creative expression there, but I'm sure it's simply because of the poor recording. It is Strad Harrison she's playing there, with which she recordred some of her early records on DECCA label too.
As she plays here, it seems that she is probably incapable of producing an unattractive tone on the instrument. And she does not appear to be playing extra carefully, or gingerly, to keep the sound agreeable.
lol i play this peace now and i can play 2 faster the staccato she is slow there. And she plays very fast the polonaise. This isnt a mouse race. Its a dance polonaise
doesnt matter the tempo~ the importance of music is the feeling. thats why i love her. she is a lot better old, but i love how she plays here. i dont think you can be better than her, and i think you are saying that in your comment, sorry if i misunderstood :U
WE can't exactly say that playing a piece to fast will make a " false excitement " .It depends on how the musician depicts his feelings while playing.. TRY to listen Tzigane ... This piece composed by Maurice Ravel, is a good example.
this isn't my account so don't say anything to this person but... way to spell piece wrong. and good for you if you're better than her; just one question, if you're so great then why aren't we all praising you?? just wondering.

why do pianist always screw it up in the introduction? Is is that difficult or just nobody remembers to practice it? Also her rithm is not correct in the theme. She should read the score more carefully... Totally agree with the very korean comment :)
could you try to explain what you want to say by 'very korean' in your context? I wonder if you do know enough about the country and the people to characterize it that simple way.
Thank you so much for uploading, I absolutely adore Kyung Wha Chung. Her vibrato, intonation, and tone are just amazing... *sighs* And I'm speechless about her upbow staccato.. 0.o
She certainly knows how to get about the violin - if she could only
make music she would be formidable - as it is she's a bore .

So ends the era of Jews being the best classical musicians... damn. It was fun while it lasted Heifetz, Rubinstein, and Horowitz.

uhm your a dumbass -.- you vrag about how u can play faster then you say she's too fast, why do'nt we listen to you since your so superior?

Speed is a false way of creating excitement. A good violinist can create excitement without playing a piece too fast.
