@tremulantgtrist Acutally I think the soud is good, the problem is the continuous covering and uncovering of the mic (at least that's what it seems with the up and down of the volume)

@oscarmvl Pretty sure it's just the microphone continually attempting to auto-adjust. It did a pretty good job of keeping it at a bareable level, but it fluctuates way too much.

i'm not gonna argue that Mike is better than Hendrix. but u def don't give him enough credit. Mike pulls a ton of technical music knowledge from very different style to create music that sounds like nothing you hear out today. pedals make jimi and mike greats. after all, what would jimi be w/o a wah, fuzz and univibe? mike is the only guy that can put together a nice riff combining multiple flangers, echo, and the SHITTIEST, ugliest ring mod out there (trust me I have the same one).

yea. a ton of distortion. wah on that intro. and at select parts its 2 different flangers. i think that's what ur talking about. i think just b4 "hearing ur voice is like chewing tin foil" u use a flanger with the Res set high and speed and depth set lower. flangers with this setting give u a really wicked 'trailing' sound (i learned that trick from Mikey). and for the the breakdown at the end it's a flanger with moderate levels of all three, like in pardon me.

there actually isn't any wah in the intro. He uses a Gonkulator. Its considered a ring mod, but it gives a crazy ugly sound. Unless you use it right (like mikey does). then it makes a crazy awesome sound.

Mikey uses two Boss PH-2 Phase Shifters for Blood on the Ground and for many other songs. He has two because one is on setting 1 and the other is on setting 2.

He is one of the best guitarests to walk the planet. He is MR JAZZ!! Just because he uses effects in his songs and doesn't rip through everything at 240bpm doesn't mean he hasn't got the talent it thinks. He has a crazy side band, some 17 strong musicians.... crazy name though.

I love Incubus, but when I met them some of them were such tools! Mike just spent all evening chatting up my friend and trying to get rid of me. Kilmore was cool - extremely stoned but nice guy. Jose had no time for like... anybody, such a loser, I hardly saw Ben and Brandon was lovely, quiet but very sweet.

I guess it doesn't take away from their music being fantastic though
