seanod123 is spot on. it just goes to show that being funny in these type of shows doesn't translate into writing. the peep show is outstanding, but the mitchell and webb one is quite crap and would have only lasted one series had it not gained the peep show's fanbase. mitchell is brilliant, though. it was the same with paul merton. outstanding on hignfy but he got his own show many years ago and it was dire.
