I just read about this rink this morning in Time magazine. _Time_ notes that some critics say the mayor of MC is trying to dupe the people with empty gestures of entertainment; my guess: those critics haven't been to a public skating rink before. They create joy in ways that many adults haven't experienced since they were in grade school.
I'm glad you were a part of the opening ceremony, and that they showcased both speedskating and figure skating. (Hernandez has a *nice* spin huh?) :-)
