Jones seems to have a solid scientific career. David Griscom, one of the worlds most respected scientist with over 185 peer reviewed papers supports Jones work. So to answer your question, Jones hypotheses is backed up by solid science, he could be wrong but so far he has science on his side, which can't be said for the official story

@lisabob22 Jones is radio show host who plays host to characters like Davis Ike, the very unwell king of circular reasoning, who maintain the moon is a giant hollow spaceship, and he is jesus or something. Jones knows nothing about science, (not required), but is an entertainer, who would be very unsucessful in Europe, as his farcical 'show' would be considered comedy at even by the dimmer members of society, and would not make him very much money at all, which is the name of the game.

In order to get any sulfer from drywall INTO steel, it would have to be molten. You are still left with the problem that steel doesn't melt at those lower temperatures without the thermate.

Someone who is debunking this does point out that the WTC uses drywall that contains sulfer.

drywall has calcium sulfate in it. not any of the other chemicals mentioned. the only way to get sulfur in the sample here would be a chemical reaction

Do a web search, apparently there are some kinds of drywall that do contain sulfur. Apparently it helps to soundproof.

drywall contains calcium sulfate, but that would not have been in a metal sample. the sulfur and other chemicals had to get in the metal sample by a chemical reaction. sulfur from the drywall would be found in the dust, and on the metal but not be part of the metal(or inside of the metal)

This Stephen Jones used to be a professor at BYU... that is until the University figured out that he was attaching their name to lunatic ideas. They suspended him while they investigated his research and academic techniques. Instead of stand up for his beliefs, he quit so that BYU would call off their search for truth.

Even members of ST911 have called him a liar for the way he makes baseless claims of thermite and controlled demolition.
