  • oh haiii

  • More like Kurt and Black Francis tbh

  • I tried to play this song at a Bandwagon event and got pulled off the stage!! LOL! John would approve.

  • Lennon at his rawest, stripped down basic blues, he didnt need to do pepper or revolver or abbey road again & again......he re-invented himself by taking a chance.....what all musicians need to do.........

  • @boom98362 Go back 2 Britney Spears then..

  • Kurt and John are singing this in heaven.

  • Lennon's best album IMHO, way ahead of its time.

  • The Departed brought me here.

  • 3:10 - 3:13 i love that

  • Groovey vid. Dig most.

  • Repito:bajo, bateria y guitarra. Esta mas cerca del punk, que del pop. Y su voz se torna dura y aspera, y es que Lennon cantaba como queria.Lo mismo que con los beatles, tambien en solitario experimentó con todos los estilos.Una clara muestra de genialidad.

  • 11 pessoas escutam restart¬¬

  • The whole album is not for the fainthearted. Love Ringo's drumming on this track.

  • Lennon ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

  • Sounds like a song that would fit in nicely with The White Album or Abbey Road.

  • WEEELLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It took me 20 years to really understand Plastic Ono Band, now its nonstop incredible funky awesome can't stop listening!!!!! Thank you John!!!

  • 懐かしいぜ

  • I can catch what John is talking about in this song, but doesn't he repeat the "ohh well"part a bit too much

  • @albuorkka nooo nothing john lennon does is too much...

  • @albuorkka Nope.

  • Suddenly

I'm not half the man I used to be

    'cause now I'm an amputee

  • esta canción es la precursora de los gritos de kurt(nirvana)

  • this song is awesome in so many ways xD :D

  • what a sick song...

  • @journeythroughthepast I have to say, the fact that it's less.. cleaned up than a lot of Beatles stuff really gets me going (in a good way). It just feels good.

  • i like johns guitar sound in this song... i can totally hear iggy and the stooges doing a faithful cover

  • well well well... i was looking for it.

    cool

  • If you want to really hear John scream...listen to twist and shout...

  • Primal scream, haha. Look it up

  • @1MyGreece You must have mental problems

  • @GamecubeLPs me? I dont think so! It's you that do not accept the truth and a different opinion and think that everbody should think and like the same stuff that u like... yes man, u must have mental problems! take care of ur self ;))

  • @1MyGreece Oh im sorry truly. I didnt read that you liked him solo. I thought u meant u hate him fully. Please forgive me.

  • @GamecubeLPs No problem, we all make mistakes! Have a nice day!

  • My vote for the best scream in rock 'n' roll would be for Kurt Cobain about 3/4 of the way through the Nirvana song "Paper Cuts".

  • Sounds a little like a hendrix song but as always John rocks and rolls

  • remember singin off me fuckin head ees a geezer i thougt well thats nice man

  • awesome...

  • @48perkins cool music work today get back later

  • Jim Morrison was best screamer!

  • @2xMegaLoco or Kurt Cobain.

  • @2xMegaLoco Or Robert Plant!!

  • The first time I heard this I thought it was a Stooges song. I was thinking 'Who could be crazy enough to just scream like that during a song' and I was surprised that it was fucking John and not Iggy!

  • @brenonion Yeah well... John was prerrt fuckin crazy too. haha

  • i fucking love this song!

  • John was one of the best screamers of music in the 60's and 70's!!! LOL

  • Joe Cocker in "With A Little Help From My Friends" my vote for single best scrream in Rock n Roll.

  • Who were the musicians?

  • @Xardox17 Ringo Starr on drums... Phil Spector on Bass... John played rhythm and lead guitar in the recording.

  • @richig761 Thanks!

  • would of liked it more if it was just pure wells XD

  • Why did a fucking MARK have to kill lennon?!

  • I'm screaming since the first time I listened this great tune, 1991... I was 11...

  • Fuck, THIS was the template for all rock bands after this album came out. And how could it not be, this was the same guy who formed the greatest band of all time, THE BEATLES.

  • john lennon would be pissed if he found out his songs were selling for 1.29 on itunes haha

  • 2:56...john lennon invents kurt cobain

  • @ClaireLikesVideos John Lennon was actually one of Kurt Cobain's heroes.

  • @AmalgamOfMeat

    aye, i know :)

  • Kick Ass!

  • this song appears in the movie The departed ¿?

  • @metallibasher87 Yes, it does

  • it`s really simillar to helter skelter from anthology!

  • I'v always wondered how he was able to scream so loud in this song, while still being able to sing after..

  • @gdosic He did all the singing afterwards, like with mother: he voice was fucked afterwards :)

  • f you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hours..

  • @SceneKidsAndVampires sorry...too late

  • You can feel the pain and anguish in Lennon's screams here very easily.

  • martin scorese sure can pick'em

  • Heme aquí otra vez...

  • john lennon doing jagger. fuck jugger doh.

  • John said You give me a fucking tuba and I'll make something out of it.

  • @madcbara Someone's seen The Departed ey?

  • lennon in drugs?

  • dam this song is great

  • INdeed best screams in r.ock

    Lennon

    Cobain

    F.Black

  • And Waters in Careful with the axe, Eugene...

  • @WARDISWARD

Roger daltrey "won't get fooled again". Period.

  • @ritchieds Were you comparing Daltrey's scream to Lennon's? I couldn't see who you were responding to.

  • @WARDISWARD You forgot one name Iggy Pop

  • @WARDISWARD You forgot Daltrey.

  • @WARDISWARD what about jim morrison or the who ?

  • 3:39...kurt cobain...just saying.

bad ass song..this is so intense. first heard it in the departed (one of my favorite movies) i've listen to lennon for a while now and somehow didnt know this before...haha

  • @ripkurdt No Ur Right Kurt Loved Lennon!

this is the start of grunge/punk for me!!

  • yeah, same. was watching the departed (also one of my faveroites) yesterday and was like. shit. thats bitchin. lol.

  • who would of thought that the Taliban would of started the revolution:

  • @georgeradislaw fuck the taliban and your miserable self : |

  • I haven't heard a John Lennon song in so long... This was always one of my favorites.

  • i heard this in "the departed"

  • me too man. that movie's sick!

  • The Departed was a great movie. One of my favorites. The music featured in that film is awesome. You've got Well, Well, Well by John Lennon, and Give me Shelter by the Rolling Stones in the begining of the film. God I love Lennon and The Departed.

  • Extraordinaire, vraiment extraordinaire.

  • genius

  • JL/Plastic Ono Band is my favourite of all te Beatles solo albums. Some Beatle fans will hate most of it, for being so underproduced, sparse and naked than anything the Beatles did. But to me, it's like proto-punk. An album like that would've been huge in 1977-78. Not since his Hamburg days did Joh rock this hard or scream this passionately. And it has the same knack for balladry as Imagine because "God," "Look at Me," "Love" and "Hold on" are very tender, soft pieces to counter the harshness.

  • good review

  • @journeythruthepast TOO RIGHT!!!

  • @journeythruthepast

    well said

  • @journeythruthepast Great comment!!

  • @journeythruthepast

It is also my favorite album from any post-Beatles solo albums.

  • @journeythruthepast underproduced? Nah just loads of reverb !

  • I don't hear Cobain at all in this.

  • John's First Album Was Two Virgins. =) R.I.P Johnny! We Miss You, :(

  • so much funk...

  • i thought this song was like 3:30

  • my arms crippled

  • this is on the departed. awesome.

  • is it? do you mean brotherhood?

  • scriffled??

  • Anybody know what he says at the end? It sounds like "I can't do it... I'm scriffled" Or something like that, but I can't tell.

  • lol, scriffled.

  • Plastic Ono Band? Is that a cover band? :S

  • No, the Plastic Ono band was the band John Lennon formed when he did his first few albums, they were a supergroup cuz ofm the people it featured

  • nah, plastic ono band was just whoever he got to play with him.

  • EVACUEE I have to say you have very good taste in music and even better taste in making good videos for them

  • Fun to scream along to this one if you're drinking all alone.

  • @apeshitdig- there is something really wrong with this comment =/

  • primal scream indeed

  • i have to agree with you

the song itself is fucking awsome, but if i didnt know any better i would say the stones did it

    either way its great

  • you've gotta be kiddin me. the stones made cartoon versions of this. this is 60's punk. i love the stones but the stuff they made was always very much for entertainment purposes.

  • Sure but it's easy to spot the similarities.

  • i mean the form of therapy john and yoko were doing at the time where you scream out your anxieties. where the scottish band got their name.

  • Who played drums on this record?

  • Ringo played drums on this song

  • Rad..Thanks

  • Ringo played drums on this whole album.

  • this version is flipping ridiculous. i must have put 100 on that view counter in the last week. all this time i've hated yoko, but if this was the result i may have to rethink my stance.

  • Comment removed

  • this song is so bad ass amazing. love it.

  • great stylized video.

  • 20 years before nirvana! probably cobain love lennon so much for this...

  • I would have to disagree this is one of my favorite lennon songs ever

  • like showing fucking razor blades in your ears, i love it!!!!!!!

  • I discovered this song on The Departed also

    Amazing song

  • thx for adding this is much better quilty than the other well well well video

  • well well well your a fuck for saying that

  • The Movie The Departed made me find this song Thank You Jack Nicholson

  • Severed hand scene.... yup

  • @Jawny907 U mean Martin Scorcesee for putting it in the film. I dont think it was Jack's decision.

  • songs like this make me wonder why lennon is never mentioned as one of the inspirations of punk rock

  • you might go as far as to say it was invented right here, at about 2:50

  • Lennon's influence on Punk is kept hush hush because his musical sytles are so diverse that they don't like to associate with the other stuff. He was in The Beatles with Paul Ramone namesake of The Ramones. When Lennon sings about revolution he really means it. Members of The Beatles were deported from four different countries. Germany, Phillipines, Japan, and the U.S.A.

  • never say fuck PAUL hes a beatle... nuff said

  • i've always had a hard time getting really into lennon's music, but this is a great fucking song.

  • A MOTHERFUCKER WHO WAS HEAD OPF TIME

  • Lennon was the greatest of them ALL and that includes Elvis, Dylan & McCartney.

  • well, McCartney was one half the lennon/McCartney team so not fuck him lol, and Elvis is the King of rock n' roll not songwriting so different catagory, And your right Dylan is in a league of his own. Lennon's pretty damn good too.

  • no, but blues does.ha and maybe some punk.

  • My favorite Lennon solo song

  • youtube: PLASTIC ONO BAND IN TORONTO 1969

  • This must have been during that screaming deal with that doctor. haha

  • I first heard this song from The Departed.

  • Me 2 xD

  • you must be young then, but please don't let music (lennon music) pass you by!

RUN out & get his first two solo albums and enjoy.

  • i really dig that line 'she looked so beautiful i could eat her'

one of my favorite lennon songs

  • nothing 4 u thursday

  • could u link me to that scene please cant remember hearing this song in there

  • He's got some voice, heh. Aside irony, it's a damn good song. Fitted very well in the Departed; that scene with Leo and Nicholson makes me laugh every time.

  • fucking love this song when he goes mad is great

  • nice little piece of "yer blues" to start it off

  • THE primal scream song

  • way before cobain. but the same effect.

  • well
