Well done! I grew up with a stuttering issue since early grade school. I had countless speech therapy sessions, endured the struggle of trying to fit in at school, getting teased, and can relate to most everything you shared. I even did bio-feedback to try and teach myself to relax. Things are much better now. I still do stutter on occasion, but I don't have the same fear I used to have. God has been good to me. My experience has helped me be a more compassionate person. Bless you man!
I wanted to add that i don't stutter as much as i used to. Because once i got to highschool it seemed to slowly fade away. My confidence has gone up so much since then that I enlsited in the Air National Guard and I will begin my training on March 29th of this year.
dude i wish i had your courage when i was in middle school. i was so ashamed to read out loud in my reading classes let alone even speak. But i just want to say that I admire your courage to get up to that podium and willingly speak in front of your class.
Great speech...You should be proud of yourself! There are good therapies out there. For example, a great therapy can be found on naturaltherapyforstuttering. -c-o-m.
Medications can be helpful as well. In these days, there is a lot that can be done to this condition.
As a life-long stutterer, I can say- what you did takes balls. Reading out loud is my personal fear, even as an adult. This was a very brave thing for you to do: very respectable. Thanks for helping educate others on our 'condition'.
You are absolutely awesome! Thank you for sharing on stuttering. I hope that your voice is heard in place of all those stutterers who are unable to stand up for themselves and educate those around them! You inspire me, and encourage me with this video. Proud to be a stutterer, when our role models are stutterers like yourself, instead of Simple Jack and Porky Pig.
I think he did a great job and I think that the AIS program is more suitable for young children, early teenagers at the most but not for adults since the AIS program is more suited for catching it early.
I can tell that you are well loved by your classmates and very respected too. And I bet that many people in your life admire you for your personal accomplishments. Clearly, you have made great progress. With time, your new speech skills should become second nature to you and you won't have to think about them as often. You get a standing ovation from my side of the computer screen. Great speech! Great delivery! Applause!
I'm a stutterer too. I really admire that you could create a speech about stuttering. Talking about it makes me feel inferior to other people who can speak freely. I usually don't talk at school anymore. I hope you and all of us stutterers to overcome our "plague".
i used to feel the same way...inferior, but think about it like this...you are so much stronger than they are cause u have to go through so much shit they cant even imagine...i personally walk around thinking that i am better than everyone else, and i feel im completely justified feeling that way cuase i cant even contemplate in my head how easy life would be without a stuttering problem...
Honestly, I have to say I'm amazed at the level of courage you possess by being able to speak in front of a crowd discussing stuttering. Whenever I hear the topic about stuttering, I feel like a weaker person compared to nonstutters. Good job inspiring!!
This is a great speech! I also stutter and will be entering a graduate program soon to become a speech-language pathologist. I plan to research stuttering and help other people like us. Great video!! :)
Great speech - you should be so proud. I am a person who stutters and I related to everything you said. Keep up the great speech and your wonderful attitude. It is so important that the public is educated about stuttering. I applaud you!
you have done so well, that took a lot of guts

This is what I need to do, in one way or another.
