Maybe marth is good but this guy had like 1 legit kill, the rest were from smash balls which were incrediably frequent. Ike had some beastly dodges. It would have been such poetic justice to have the final kill be from the one ike final smash.

Ike is Easy to master, Either that, or i'm a super Ike player. On the first time i used him, i won against some pros.

But, to use him without spamming, takes skills, that i'll admit.

I'd say that Marth is speed and Ike is Strength, but all in all, they're equal in power.

ike, while probably the most powerful character of his size, is slow and probably hard to master, while marth on the other hand, has attacks good for tormenting his opponent and a few powerful launchers

I beat my friend that i had trouble beating with one of my best characters (2 years ago) i used Ike and beat him in 2 seconds.

It's after that that i started using Marth, Ike is just too cheap.

For those watching:

Ike is not overpowered, nor is Marth better. Tiers are not about who's the best, it's about who's the easiest to master. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. Ike is harder to master than Marth, but relatively they're equal in power.

In all preferences, I use both for certain situations. For example, I can never defeat my friends annoying DK unless I'm Ike. On the other side, his Luigi is no match for my Marth either.

@MrChuelee100 There are a few ways. With Ike, a player would use aether (the throwing the sword and catching it, up special) right when Marth starts charge at Ike. Also, with any player, you have to move out of Marth's horizontal range, shield, or pray the Marth player will miss.

i find it ironic that most people consider marth superior to ike when in the actual fire emblem games, ike has way better stats and his sword Ragnell, is better than marth's Falchion. Speaking of swords, in the games, Ragnell can shoot magical blasts, but in brawl ike cant, wich is weird. Finaly, marth would have gotten murdered, were it not for his smash balls

Why didn't Marth edgeguard more? I main him and (I'm not very good but) edgeguarding is by far the easiest way to score KO's. Especially since I suck at getting his F-smash to be a tipper. And by edgeguarding I actually mean leaving the stage and hitting th opponent further away then recovering and taking advantage of some invincibilities
