In MN, you do not necessarily have to dance to a hmong song so it can be considered a Hmong dance. Ask yourself, if you need to use a hmong song just to make the dance hmong then what's unique about it? Therefore, regardless of what kinds of songs that we used or whether our dance moves are hmong or not (even though there is no 'REAL' hmong dance moves), as long as the meaning/ story is hmong related then that makes the dance just as hmong as any other "ordinary" hmong dances.
