When I embed this video on my blog the instructions do not show but if I click on a cup anyway I get routed to youtube. I'm making an interactive video and YouTube interactive annotation would be ideal to use, but I'd prefer people viewing the videos would stay on my site after clicking, how will that be in future?

I just read about this yesterday. Unfortunately, the annotations do not work on embedded videos. :-( Also, if you have the video featured on your own channel page, they don't work either. (This part, I found out the hard way!)

So far, I just have my "Videos" box have the main starting video available, with descriptions in the others saying "DON'T WATCH THIS BY ITSELF" or something like that.

Can I embed a link to Google Checkout? What are the domain perimeter confines for links? I suspect just YouTube to begin with, yes? Strong implementation thus far. Ignore the hecklers advising you to open up interactive commenting to the world. As at least one startup has proved, overlaying comment annotations sounds nice but is a difficult feature to pull off without inviting obnoxious visual spam.

That is my one beef with a lot of these new interactive vids. They don't give you a lot of time to choose anything.

I know what you mean with "not a lot of time to choose anything", had been giving this some thought myself. Best would be if the video could end in a freeze frame or a short loop like in the interactive video (computer) games, like when the hero has to choose between two doors and keeps looking between them untin a selection is made.

It was a minor criticism of a few of the ones I had tried. And sometimes the thing is over before you can pause.

But I don't want to start naming specific videos. The Shell game is not one of them, I'll say that. You have like 3 seconds, which is plenty of time for me, but I can see where some people might want to take a little more time.

few tips

1) make possible to go through the video - i mean, to click in the middle on that bar and go to middle... when i click on the middle of the bar, i am at the beginning

2) make the last picture last for few seconds... now its imediately overriden with this "related videos", which makes no sence since you shouldlnt have limited time to select, what to do next
