No, it's not leaning on a fence. It was however fastened to the inside of the raised bed with one screw fastening each leg to the wood. If you want to make it more stable, perhaps sink pieces of pipe into the ground and fasten the trellis to them.
Nice Video. Is this leaning against the fence to keep it up? Or is it stable enough to stand up on its own? What could I do to make it more stable in a slightly more open area?
Love your video, and your garden box.. all I can say is WOW... but you have the cutest lil garden helper.. Thank you for posting... looking forward to viewing more of your videos.
Buddy - I appreciate not only your sharing your personal experiences and knowledge but also working with your child on this video. I did the same thing, as you can see if you youtube search for ""Eaing with Erich"
Hi! I am new you your vids so I apologize if you covered this in other vids, but I noticed that you used 2 (instead of one) pieces of lumber for the sides of your raised beds. Any reason? What dimensions? Thanks!!!
great! Rachel, thanks for your wonderful idea. that is exactly what I need for my garden in my huge balcony. Also, it is inexpensive and I can use it as a sun blocker. If you have any other idea please share with us.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. We really like making videos to share. I'm thrilled that my daughter seems to have taken to this project. We have fun in the garden and learn all the time!
wow you just showed me how to save a ton of money :) i love this video :)

I don't really know. Perhaps some chicken wire (poultry netting) around the bucket and fastened somehow? Anyone else have an idea?

What a great team! Thanks for the info. Any ideas for caging a tomato plant in a 5 gallon bucket?

Did the nails split the wood at any time? Looks easy enough. Great Job.

@QuickGardens
Nope. No splitting. Pre-drilling would not be a bad idea though.

You're lucky to have such a 1st class helper. In addition, hmmm, I sure do like that rolling shelf unit, it looks very handy.

Thanks guys. Rachel is a huge help. That rolling cart was made of scrap lumber, it indeed comes in handy.
