  • I find this offensive. [I'm from Ireland myself]

  • Didn't you mother teach you not to judge a book by its cover? Sooo obvious you didn't listen to the song.

  • bad weather

  • Bulmer's.... I remember my wife drinking to pints in Dungarvin and I had to carry her back to the B&B. I'm sure the Magners here in the US is not the same as the 12% it was there when we had it.

  • Hey Drubbler, this song is so true. I vacationed there in Oct. of 2010 and so want to go back. The people are friendly and beautiful. The nightlife around Dublin is awesome. Best time in my life. I love Guinness and when I was there I learned of Bulmer's an apple cider beer. Well I'm from Texas and found out we get it here to but under the name Magner's.

  • Looks like we've travelled in the same circles. You wrote and played this? Much enjoyed. Sliante!

  • oh the tital was misleading i was about to be mad if someone was makeing fun of ireland

  • So So true!

  • Heaven on Earth

  • great tune from one guitar player to another!

  • come to Ireland ..green meadows ..lakes in green meadows ..green meadows near the sea... and drunks playing fiddles and guitars ...

  • @mugwamp4 surely you mean loughs and glens?

  • @Flamorgan oh to be sure !!i should've have been more venacular!!

  • @mugwamp4 Yep,that would be "Tae" and not "to".

  • @Flamorgan ?don'tthink either was mentioned in the song>?

  • @drubbler No neither was but they were mentioned by another poster to which I was giving a reply.

  • great song.

  • Heh... I'm sick of telling people that my family is Irish and they say "OH LOLOL, U MUST DRANK LIEK ALL DAY, R U HAMMERED?"

Pfft. Yes, Ireland is known for getting it's drink on. So is Germany, but you don't hear them getting that kind of crap! There's so much more to Ireland and so much beauty, and these pictures prove it. <3 Irish Pride... for all the right reasons!

  • @Devourthebook15 i think it comes from the simpsons !

  • Dublin has to be the most boring and morbid town in the world and people who live there just dont know life or there own self-worth its like a prison because almost every bar and food-store has arrogant polish security gaurds on them and everybody judges you for simple things like the way you dress acked behave walk and talk its SICK get the fuck out and live your life . You cannot exspress your true self in Dublin because the culture is so exstremley different to everywhere

  • Are ya going for a pint drubbler?bring your guitar wel have a crack ;-)

  • @lenny820

If you were a genie and could make it happen it would be my first wish. Being 5,500 km from Cork it won't be soon.

  • never judge a book (or video) by its cover. haha

  • @buloo1234 So you believe a crack head american who has no knoledge of Ireland, yeah wise choice.

  • I LOVE it. What a great song, I'd love to learn it, it would be fun to play at a seissun. Would you mind if I tried to learn it?

Thank you for sharing this song & video.

  • I'm sorry for not responding before. This is the 1st I'd seen your comment. Did you ever learn it? I wrote the song 1999 coming home on the plane, went back in 2004 and got to sing it in a Dublin pub.

  • Thanks drubbler, no I didn't learn it because it was your song and I didn't have your permission. If it's ok I'd like to learn it for the St. Patricks day performances this year. As my name inplies I play the Celtic harp.

  • Please learn it. I love to hear what it sounds like to the Celtic harp. I'm in Michigan, where abouts are you?

  • I'm in New Hampshire, I will definitely make a go of it, it's a great sing along tune as well so I think I work it out for my audience to join me for the chorus.

  • You're invited to do so! As Germany does have a lot of nice places it should become a wonderful song. :-)))

  • Thanks for the nice words. Now I have to go to Germany and write a song.

  • Wonderful music and nice pictures. I like it!
