I dont know its not really that scary I mean we live in the 21th century so all this monster stuff isnt scary, I mean show me the scariest monster or creature your artists can come up with and ill just sit there and stare, but make me believe that im under constant threat of attack then were talking, I mean look at Fear, Condemned, Deadspace and to a lesser extent Bioshock. In all those games the fear came from not knowing when you were going to be attacked.

@IGNsucks horror is not about "seeing" a scary monster, you hardly ever see the monsters in this game, it actualy encourages you not to look as it puts your insanity lvl up, after playing this for about 1 hour i can tell you that without doubt it is a thousand times scarier than any of the other games you mentioned, how can you get scared when your packing shit load of guns.. in this you get a lantern.. no weapons whatsoever :P

Sadly, Penumbra Overture had weapons, and made the game much more easier. Last one, Requiem had no enemies (as I heard of, thats why I didnt played it). But the Penumbra: Black Plague was THE BEST horror game I've ever played.
