They now have dealerships in London and Munich. Cars sold in Europe have all passed crash tests. The body/chasis is made by Lotus in Norwich, and carbon monocoques are the safest.
I'm not too sure I like the half tonne battery right behind me though.
Only serviced once a year? Is that supposed to be less then gasoline cars? I hope he misspoke. Basically the only thing that needs servicing are the brake disks, you can top off the radiator fluid yourself and exchange the cabin air filter. No need to service a car for those things.
every-year services is to be sure that the car still running fine, that doesn't leak, taht the battery stay well.. thats the every-year services, not to change every pert because they failed, not its a checkup
Humm, some where down the line this ideal is going to run int trouble with the powers to be . Because in the 1980s someone esle had the same ideal and it got canned . So inless the evill people who control this world just became really nice WATCH OUT! plus i wouldnt put it pass goverment that they plan on some major plans for electric cars just to put the eastern oil giants out of business and continue with they conquest to take over the world. oh yea nice car.
yeah but the catch 22 here is that the Big Brother has kids that will have kids who want the environment clean and so the Big Brother takes his own dik and suks it
Can anybody take those designs and try their production in India and China, so we can reproduce it for starting the product earlier in a year. Don't leave it to someone who will choke it. Spread it to avoid single point of failure again like in the past.
The only thing that failed in the past was government giving in to the Detroit automakers lobbyists.. they relaxed the 1990 Air Pollution ammendments (and California allowed the hybrid to be counted as 50% of a zero emission car.. the hybrid ultimately killed the EV programs) and GM took all the EV1s (some forcably from the drivers) and had them destroyed! EV1 is still the most aerodynamic car ever produced.
electric cars got a lot of potential in the future.

It's a bit annoying that you see so many luxury hybrid and electric cars but no small electric vehicle for the city.

ouch... that bonnet looks unsafe.
The support bars under the bonnet look like they could end up skewering the occupants in a crash.
I wouldn't buy that contraption without seeing some impact videos to compare with similar shaped machines.

Uhm.. oil jobs and oil companies going out of business. Can I ask you something. What will happen to U.S economy if we launch electric cars?

No it was not the MOST aerodynamic but it is up there. It's probably in the top 20 of all time for a production vehicle.
