Pretty much. Apparently the population are furious with president Bakiyev because it first started with high prices for utilities, as well as the high unemployment and censorship of the media. Eventually, some people made accusations that Bakiyev was using the money collected for "personal gains" and that he had a government run by cronies.

i know very little about kyrgystan or its history. all i know is revolution and rebelion is not always bad. America was born out of revolution. from what i heard they are trying to start their own government led by the people (just like america did at the start). what ever the end is, be keeping the current government or creating a new one, lets just hope that the end result is good.

@mcstalker12 They are removing a corrupt government that placed family in high government positions, which the just deposed government helped overthrow the government before that during the Tulip Revolution because they did the same thing. Most of the people weren't willing to do anything until their utility bills shot up by 200% this month.

And the just deposed regime helped overthrow the regime before it due to the same thing during the Flower Revolutions that swept most former Soviet States. And the revolutionaries are very pro-Russia and have stated they want the Manas Air Base closed. Right now, nothing is certain though.
