  • This music is in Chrono Cross as well as Radical Dreamers is a prequel to it.

  • Radical Dreamers is like Samurai Champloo.

    Incredible for its music

  • These musics sound familiar ... Didn't they appear in other (Squaresoft or not) games with some little changes ?

  • These musics sound familiar ... Didn't they appear in other Square(soft) games ?

  • @InsertAPseudoHere Actually many songs where remixed in Chrono Cross.

  • Oh yeah that's Yasunori Mitsuda alright :)

  • as much of a fan of the series that i am i never p[layed this...but i see that it was obviously done in english so now i have to

  • I just recently finished this game, and all I can say is WOW. I never knew that there was a Chrono Trigger sequel, nor a Chrono Cross prequel/side story. This is without a doubt, the most unique game I've ever played. I love the characters. I love that Magus makes a guest appearance. Kid has a great spunky personality, and Serge is kinda goofy. Magus, is still Magus, silent and deadly. And the music is just out of this world. Once again, the SNES proves to be best sounding 16 bit console ever.

  • Damn, Star Stealing Girl is in this?

  • This was a really great game. My favorite songs are The Girl Who Stole the Stars (a.k.a. Star Stealing Girl), Distant Promise and Le Tresor Interdit.

  • LOVE this game. LOVE the music of the chrono series. thank you so much, mitsuda! and great vid!

  • Wow, I never even knew about this one. More incredible Mitsuda music.

  • mistaphill: Radical Dreamers is perhaps the most under appreciated game ever made :( Seriously! The only way people in America can play it is to download the SNES emulator and ROM to their PCs!

  • I totally agree, one of the best 9 hour periods of my life, really (thewhole game that is). I'm still goin to remake it as soon as I can get my system to stop behaving like its on drugs

  • Serge165: Lol, computers are so weird: mine acts like a druggie too! DX

  • whats the song at 7:00??????

    shiz iz tottal bliss.....

and this is coming from a hip hop head LOL

i love Crono an FF OSTs.....

  • It's the ending song, Le Tresor Interdit.

  • is the the sequel to chrono trigger or a precuel to cross?

    im confused someone please reply!!!

  • bboystealth88: Radical Dreamers came BEFORE Chrono Cross, so RD is the direct sequel of Chrono Trigger ;)

  • aw ic thnxx man i havent even finished crono trigger lol

im playing it on my computer as a Emu...

and i got the RD emu too...

    ^_^

  • Just to make it more clear - Radical Dreamers is a sequel to Chrono Trigger, but apparently taken place after one of the alternate endings of Trigger.

Chrono Cross takes place after what would be the "regular" ending of Chrono Trigger.

  • ic ic ^_^

they should tottaly make a remake of the series with the ps3 or somethin....

that would be the sickest thing in the world...

but i geuss that could maybe ruin it..

  • Both the sequels of Chrono Trigger are so underappreciated.

  • Satellaview it was the "addon" to Snes that made it possible to download games and stuff right? I think i have read about it in a magazine

  • The absolute best music on Super Famicom. I loved everything about this game.

  • The melody at 0:33 makes me cry every time! God damn it, that's the only perfect song I love that is not heavy metal!

  • I must get this soundtrack. This is my first time hearing this. I simply have to have it!

Yasunori Mitsuda is yet another one of my great musical loves, along with Yuzo Koshiro and Jesper Kyd.

  • where do u get English version?

  • great text adventure game!go and download the english version and enjoy

  • Man I wished they sneaked in the Final Battle theme into Chrono Cross somewhere.

  • Well you know this was before cross.

  • But i thought this game was never fully released, not even in Japan.

  • It was fully released on satalite view. One last thing of the snes to hold people over. but even if you could get on it now you cannot get too it. So you have to find the game online.

  • 6:10 onwards; I'm in heaven

  • Le slow est le pew?

    HAHA XD

  • You might be thinking 'huh, wazzat? Square, great music and a text adventure?'

This pretty obscure game is a side-story to Chrono Trigger, and served as an inspiration to Chrono Cross. In fact, the music was composed by the same dude who did those two games, and even reused some themes from RD in Chrono Cross.

So, if you were wondering why this was so awesome, yet so completely unknown at the same time, there you go.

  • My first reaction was that it sounded Chrono Trigger-ish. That would explain why with Yasunori Mitsuda composing it.

  • have you don the music of double dragon yet?

  • Yeah, all 3 NES games, just search my vids and you'll find 'em.

  • SPOILER ALERT

still it also does have a connection. concerning the letter from lucca, where she mentions magil.
