I just recently finished this game, and all I can say is WOW. I never knew that there was a Chrono Trigger sequel, nor a Chrono Cross prequel/side story. This is without a doubt, the most unique game I've ever played. I love the characters. I love that Magus makes a guest appearance. Kid has a great spunky personality, and Serge is kinda goofy. Magus, is still Magus, silent and deadly. And the music is just out of this world. Once again, the SNES proves to be best sounding 16 bit console ever.
mistaphill: Radical Dreamers is perhaps the most under appreciated game ever made :( Seriously! The only way people in America can play it is to download the SNES emulator and ROM to their PCs!
I totally agree, one of the best 9 hour periods of my life, really (thewhole game that is). I'm still goin to remake it as soon as I can get my system to stop behaving like its on drugs
Just to make it more clear - Radical Dreamers is a sequel to Chrono Trigger, but apparently taken place after one of the alternate endings of Trigger.
Chrono Cross takes place after what would be the "regular" ending of Chrono Trigger.
It was fully released on satalite view. One last thing of the snes to hold people over. but even if you could get on it now you cannot get too it. So you have to find the game online.
You might be thinking 'huh, wazzat? Square, great music and a text adventure?'
This pretty obscure game is a side-story to Chrono Trigger, and served as an inspiration to Chrono Cross. In fact, the music was composed by the same dude who did those two games, and even reused some themes from RD in Chrono Cross.
So, if you were wondering why this was so awesome, yet so completely unknown at the same time, there you go.
This music is in Chrono Cross as well as Radical Dreamers is a prequel to it.

Incredible for its music

These musics sound familiar ... Didn't they appear in other (Squaresoft or not) games with some little changes ?

Both the sequels of Chrono Trigger are so underappreciated.

I must get this soundtrack. This is my first time hearing this. I simply have to have it!
Yasunori Mitsuda is yet another one of my great musical loves, along with Yuzo Koshiro and Jesper Kyd.

My first reaction was that it sounded Chrono Trigger-ish. That would explain why with Yasunori Mitsuda composing it.
