  • This and the Rick Nelson`s version are exactly identical.

  • awesome nuff said

  • Yep I love that guitar solo as well, James Burton is the Telecaster king

  • i love the guitar solo by mr. james burton

  • ONE IN A MILLION!

  • Elvis number 1 icon in this planet.

  • this song was ricky nelsons but before him it was sung from al jolsen dean martin, and sinatra even. Though when ELVIS sung his version, its totally unmatched!

THE KINGZ version is absouletly the best!

  • @kingofkingz1979 He did take the basic arrangement from Rickys and the guitar solo is nearly identical and I will go so far as to say it is the same guitaist James Burton. While I certainly won't agree that it is better I will state for the record that the King is the King for the simple reason that no one has even half as many top 40 hits . You can insist MJ is the king of pop but if that were true wouldn't he have had as many hits as Elvis. Elvis had about 3 times as many . I think 107 = KIng

  • @Geepsterr true that u say bout BURTON being the same guitarist after leaving Nelson in 67 Presley asked him (twice) to join him (tcb band) from 69 all the way till his death in 77 MJ was great though had only one style,Elvis voice was versatile & sung all types of music (rock, gospel, soul.country,r&b,folk, ballads)He loved singing & was the most hardest working man in the industry recording numerous albums, hits, movies etc coz he loved it,was his life

Elvis is KING of POPular Music in my Opinion

  • @kingofkingz1979 Agreed . What you say about your opinion is understated though . It is a quantified fact that Elvis is the King of Popular music . Now Burton was my prime influence from the Ozzie & Harriet days. He made me want to play.

  • @Geepsterr I admire the "master of telecaster" too, he was the t-bone of Elvis TCB band & other artists he played with, he's a legend & up with the best of em though he's underated.

He still always wear hisTCB band chain around his neck whereva he tunes, keep playn real music bud, these dayz you hear tech sound crap. It is up to us to keep the realism of music.

    Peace

  • i wish i was livin in the times of the 60s and the 80s my 2 favorite times...:(

  • You've lived a great life elvis

  • I sooooo LOVE GORGEOUS Elvis but this song belongs to Handsome RICKY NELSON ... Jus love it when he sings and closes his eyes ... Awwwwwwww....

  • i love She & Hims version! but you can never beat this one!

  • @youngwilmita love she and hims version as well but elvis is amazing XD

  • Can't help but dig James Burton's Telecaster singing along on this also!! Great song!

  • Quelle voix exceptionnelle, sensuelle, sublime !!!

  • Amazing voice. Would be hard to beat this version, but maybe an American Idol can try.

  • amazing ou extraordinaire comme vous voulez enfin quelque chose qui fait du bien à notre tête et à nos oreilles encore bravo elvis tu nous manques

  • best version in my opinion

  • Elvis the king forever.

  • one of the best songs elvis sung this one i like it very much peace

  • MAGNIFICO...PERO ME QUEDO CON BROOK BENTON.....NI RICKY NI ELVIS....Y TAMBIEN PREFIERO A LESLIE GORE......EN CUALQUIER CASO DE MOMENTO ELVIS ESTA EN EL TERCER PUESTO PARA MI GUSTO.....Y COMO TENGO QUE SEGUIR INVESTIGANDO.....TODOS LOS PUESTOS PUEDEN CAMBIAR....PERO DESDE ESTE MOMENTO....BROOK...ESTA EN EL NUMERO UNO..EN CUANTO A ESTA CANCION POR LO MENOS.......LA SUYA ES UNA VERSION....IMCOMPARABLE...VIVA BROOK BENTON...Y VIVA ESPAÑA...NO COMO OTROS....ME ENCANTA.DECIR...LO QUE SIENTO

  • I love this version for soon I'll do my cover

of this classic Elvis country song and do the solo of

the master of country James Burton...

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE!! <3 omg. he is just the best forever!! <3

  • Elvis Version!! (Cover from Ricky Nelson)

  • Great song, but I have to say these are some of the least glamorous--but most sexy!!--pics of the King in his heyday that I've ever seen. Awesome eye, Jackiej61too.

  • Interesting - the lead guitar break on this is pretty much the same as on the Ricky Nelson take. Is James Burton playing on both?

  • 5 stars

  • Great photos, many I've never seen before. Thanks for putting this together.

  • Just great stuff.......Love it*******))

  • The Only Good Version of this song was sang by Elvis Presley. A Good Song with a Good Beat. Elvis had a GOD Given Voice.

  • ...the king lives...hail to the king...

  • Another legendary song by my king.

Give this a thumbs up if ELVIS is your king too!

  • @matizzle32 YEP Elvis is the king and my king too

  • My brother loved this song i'll always remember him

  • Sounds like Chet Atkins playing the solo here, I wonder if it was?

  • @powergirl901 The guitarist is the great James Burton who also played the same solo on the original hit recorded by Ricky Nelson about 10 or 11 years earlier Elvis hand picked Burton to be his guitarist because of his brilliant work on the classic recordings by Ricky Nelson

  • this song is originally from Brook Benton and that's the same for the song Frankie and Johnny and it's a matter of time that songs where from Brook Benton to

  • I think this song sounds cool with elvis its more touching and heart felted than others

  • BEAUTIFUL job on the vid, Jackie. You never fail to satisfy us- you're simply the best.

All the pix are great, but I really love the way Elvis looked in the pic at time 1:12. His hair looked so much nicer au naturel.

  • Very similar to the Rick Nelson version, with James Burton contributing the instrumental break on both. Elvis' version is more heartfelt, but I think both versions are great. Thank you for posting.

  • Lovely song & video!!

  • cannot be bettered just brilliant

  • Elvis at his best! We are fools that rush in.

  • Fine ! - Erkele

  • great vocals but i dont like that digital sounding music. i much prefer the music of the 50s

  • espectacular

  • a fast version of Fools Rush In, equally beautiful. Never mind the tempo that the song is sung, when they are done by great singers they are all great!! Viva Elvis!!

  • Very great song by the king...:o)

  • a great song.....

  • Nobody is comparing Elvis to the great James Burton. just giving Burton his deserving due! One of the greatest Rock & Roll guitarist of all time!

  • how can u compare the king with james bloody burton who gives a crap bout him without elvis these songs are nuffin

  • are what? nuffin?

  • wate this is not a privet text sorry did it wrong

  • hello paul its me dannysinger y dont you call me any more if you dont call me i will call you ower cooly is to big so i guess ill give in first cause i love you and nancy

  • Nice arrangement! the king at his best.

  • Very nice version.

  • Love Elvis singing style in Fools Rush In it just kinda draws u along also love the guitar plucking of James Burton he is a master of the art

  • what can I say??

Elvis has ALL THE BEST VERSIONS! <3 there will never be anyone as you, I will love you for ever!!!! <3<3<3

  • To me Elvis has the best version and that James Burton...well he's on Elvis,Ricky Nelson and Brenda Lee's versions...I guess Burton is half the song!!!

  • Ordinarily I prefer Elvis, but on this one particular song, I like Rick Nelson's version. Maybe it's the tempo. I don't like the background singers that aren't on Nelson version. They ruin it for me.

  • @ juscurious, The background vocals are

    performed by "The Sweet Inspirations"

and for me they totally "sell it" ..just like

a choir of angels. They remind me of

my honey and the day we fell in love

36 years ago. I read somewhere that

this was Elvis' least favorite song. Any one else have input on this?

    Peace

    Rog

  • Open up your arms for this fool Marscha

  • The guitar in this is absolutely amazing! James Burton is a true virtuosso!

  • Just beautiful, just for the nice Sunday afternoon!

  • beautiful song.... elvis the greatest.....

  • Elvis and James Burton, wow the best ever! It's impossible to top those guys. They were so great, watching and listening to them made this great music look easy. It isn't easy....just try. This is true GOD given talent!

  • burton played with nelson and then the king the best

  • Yes is almost the same version of Rick Nelson.

  • sonjia lanelle ...My Sunshine I will never forget your smiling face as this played on

the stereo...some 36 years ago. It was the moment that defined my life then and forever.

    Your Roger

  • Beautiful! Thnkx

  • Could someone, anyone, explain to me how they cannot love Elvis's voice?

  • No,I can`t explain.

    Maybe it´s jealousy ?

    Elvis was fantastic

  • Interestingly, James Burton did the distinctive guitar-playing on both this version and on Rick Nelson's earlier one, as well.

  • I love this song! It is absolutely amazing & so is Elvis. such an INCREDIBLE man...

  • Written by Johnny Mercer and Rube Bloom. Elvis recorded it May 18, 1971 at RCAs Nashville Studios. It is available on Elvis Now, For the Good Times, and Forgotten Songs of the 70s.

  • This is a great song..brings back some great memories. Thank you for posting!!!

  • This is easily my most favorite version of this gem. Elvis had the unique ability to make very nearly every song that he sang his very own. As you know, the very first Elvis album that this masterpiece appeared on was "Elvis Now". I'm still waiting for the FTD label to issue a deluxe edition of this classic Elvis album. Elvis was and will always be a true one of a kind. He'll never ever be matched or duplicated. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.
