sir maybe you should also mention the fact that if your not flexible at then this will not be possible. remember to stretch everyy day till it hurts. after awhile itll stop hurting and youll be able to kick around like he does...
@VincaniTV do you need to do more training or do you just have to practice the flare because my break dances and he said training and learning other power moves help you
@JayXshot1 Just let it go, most likely you're holding back because you don't want to fall hard. Instead let yourself fall on floor because i'm guessing you always land on one foot first to catch yourself. also don't do a "hop" of the leg supporting your weight when your doing the sweep from behind, this will throw most of your momentum up against you instead of helping you get the 2nd leg up and across.

Back then there wasnt youtube and we couldnt afford to buy bboy vhs tapes so we got inspired off other things like martial arts videos, tap dancing and folk dancing. Later on a guy named Tet taught me all the terminology and basics

@ChaoticRave118 Hmm just focus on that one flare until you got it not problem. Then just push yourself to do 5 at a time. A lot of people kick to hard in the front and not hard enough in the back so make sure you swing like a hula hoop

@04Fobs im right handed but I pilot on my left. Its really up to you and what comes easy. Just be sure to learn all your power the same way 1st because it will be a lot easier.
@averagejoedance hmm try walking through the motion and then commit your self to doing it. Sometimes it helps to just watch someone doing flares and then do them.

@asdfdg11 Yes, I'm absolutely sure. I've been breaking for a decent amount of time and I know for a fact that, believing in stuff like that won't get you anywhere. All you need to do is believe in yourself, and train. You'll get anywhere you want as long as you train. Stretching builds flexibility no matter what age. Starting older has its benefits as well, such as already having the strength for many of the moves. All you need to do is hone that strength through work.
@asdfdg11 I'm not gonna say it's easy, because at the beginning no matter what age it's not but one day you'll get there as long as you train and believe. Wherever you want there to be. Whether it be a huge competition on the world stage, or a small bboy jam, a cypher, or just getting down for the love of it. Do it for yourself, and everything will fall into place. As long as you don't quit.

Every person who can flare has probably failed to sweep correctly the first time they tried. These moves take months to fully get, so you shouldn't give up. I got windmills in around three months but the first month was a whole lot of fail: crashing onto my shoulder. Kept working; got it. Hardwork and perseverance sure pay off.

@BboyFortune Flares tend to hurt your wrist so if it hurts bad stretch and maybe take a break from flares for a week. Also u can get the wrist guards people use for weight lifting

Whether it be a huge competition on the world stage, or a small bboy jam, a cypher, or just getting down for the love of it. Do it for yourself, and everything will fall into place. As long as you don't quit.

To help with you strength do push UPS, sit UPS and pull UPS. 3 sets of 5-30 depending on how many u can do. Bboying is mainly core strength.

Every person who can flare has probably failed to sweep correctly the first time they tried. These moves take months to fully get, so you shouldn't give up. I got windmills in around three months but the first month was a whole lot of fail: crashing onto my shoulder. Kept working; got it. Hardwork and perseverance sure pay off.

@BboyFortune Flares tend to hurt your wrist so if it hurts bad stretch and maybe take a break from flares for a week. Also u can get the wrist guards people use for weight lifting
