I got one C550 too, it a great GPS, very precise and navigation directions are good even on some chaotic roads...
But I find it takes a bit too much time to get the current GPS location when you turn it on (cold start)... I noticed this takes even longer when the car is moving... mine takes some good 2-3 minutes to lock the location, I wonder if this happens with yours as well?

haven't really tested that out too much...For the most part the gps signal acquisition is pretty quick.
