One Year Later: BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

The Deepwater horizon rig was owned by Transocean (an American company). Nearly all the staff onboard were employed by Transocean and were Americans. The Blow out preventer (BOP) which failed was owned By Halliburton (another American company). Both of these companies were contracted by BP to do a job which they messed up. I know you guys don’t like to take responsibility for anything but this was caused by American companies and the staff were American.

People won't stand up to big billion dollar corparations. Violence is sometimes a key factor in what you believe in. They'll just keep on doing what they do and appealing everything you throw at them. It's not fair to watch these birds and turtles and people get sick or die. But, like i said people will just watch and yell and do nothing physically.

Big business is tough to keep on the straight and narrow. There is way too much double talk and not enough heart behind what they do. Profit based motives will never ensure mankind's safety from these types of horrific accidents. I am all for making a buck. I have no problem with making a living, but these big companies constantly wheel and deal and we suffer in the end because they truly are not interested in public interests... just the bottom line.
