i've been really wanting to learn this song as my first song on guitar for about a year now, but i keep struggling with it, i can't get the strumming pattern down at all, got any advice? Thanks
@luckysmoki As a matter of fact it is! =) I see you have a Fender as well... and I love your version of Nothing Else matters by Mettalica man. Cheers!
hahahahhaa man i was creeped out my names ryley too and it was the first video i clicked on and you say my name hha but i know its your daughter now so its all good:)
wow my favorite song, started 2 days ago learning guitar. The harmonic is such immense, I love it. Thanks, but how did you keep one string swinging? Every time I leave my finger to another position I hear this ugly sound like appears when touching a near string. deaden the sound.
@TestedTester It sounds to me like your finger must be touching another string as your transitioning to the next one. You will not hear that after some practice mate, just keep at it, don't get frustrated. Good luck with your new guitar!
one more question, what are you doing in the part between 27 sec to 30 sec...
when Bm you do down down up down than Em down? i hear like you do the Bm 4 times then some knock and Em. but are you playing with your hand down down up down down or i am wrong?
the last question, how are you doing the knock sound at 29 sec?
@dima2006 as far as the strumming patten goes for that... I honestly was not even paying attention lol.. I was simply transitioning from the Bm to the Em to wrap up that spot, but when I look at it again, I think you have it correct. The "knock" your hearing is a simple "palm mute" but I tend to mute the strings with the side of my thumb and sometimes even my knuckles... so you get a quicker sharp sounding mute. Hope this helps. - B
@dima2006 I would imagine that you can do anything you like on a classical guitar, although the tones will be different. Give it a shot, and post it up! =)
