It is a good point that you can get the exact same ratings at an extremely lower cost. At my school its possible to go from no flight experience to flight instructor in about 2 years if you work hard.

I do not know what the deal is with the whole ERAU deal (Burnadet is an awesome song!) Anyhow, I have 195 hrs in PA44, IP3, asked to resign after reading bible. Anyway, This plane is real deal, scary when shutting down engine, Hot too, but fun when comming in nice and smooth. Only plane with 2 engines there. All should be 2 engines. 1 engine = lawnmower, unsafe financial tradeoff, and we still Burnadet!

I spend 5 years at Riddle, and I highly recommend you stay away from this school. Take these facts for consideration:

1. Highest student debt in the nation!

2. Playboy rated Riddle last on its list for party school in the whole nation!

3. Daytona Beach is a white-trash, redneck biker haven, no culture, no nothing..

and most importantly,

You will face 4 years (minimum) of limited-to-none punani.

maybe he wants to go to Riddle to actually study perhaps? I really recommend this school because having a title from ERAU puts you on top of everyone else when it comes to getting hired for the airlines. I agree that Daytona sucks, but he asked about the school not the town, you can always drive to orlando or gainesville if you wanna party. If you have the money or a good loan then go for it!

It is a good aviation school, but you can get a similar education for much less elsewhere. The education you get from Riddle, as an Aeronautical Science major, will not help you in any way to fly your Cessna. You will get trained anyways when you get a job with airlines and by that time you will forget almost everything you learned at Riddle anyways. It's much better off to fly somewhere else and at the same time get a degree from something other than AS at ERAU. School costs $50K/Yr to fly.

Haha this conversation is great. I'm going into my second year this fall and I'm excited to go back. If you do attend, get ready to be nickled and dimed in just about everything. Unfortunately, it's all about the name and ERAU has a great name. I would much rather go somewhere else but I want to get ahead... as for the girls... try to find a nice one before the douchebags and tools that flood the campus do. 9:1 Guy:Girl ratio baby... oh yeah.
