I recently was fooled by the titles of this movie when my girlfriend and I rented this from Redbox. Sadly enough it took us a fair amount of time until we noticed something wasn't right. I also thought just like everyone else commenting on this video that it was the dream works version, I had no prior knowledge of the puss n boots movie so I did not know who was the voice actor, After seeing william shatner as the voice I thought, " Well that's odd but ok". The Queen was drunk the whole movie.

befor you write shit read the title is the TRUE STORY of PUSS N BOOTS not PUSS IN BOOTS. I thought the word TRUE would be a dead give away that its the actual story as in the one first wiritten by some dead guy in france like every other fairy tail story and not the Shrek version where all fairyy tail characters live in the same world and are not as innocent as we think.

And if you haven't noticed the move was originally french and is voiced over in english.

My fiance rented this thinking it was the Dreamworks version. I read the reviews on Amazon and everyone basically said xactly what I thought throughout the whole movie: 1. The cat's voice is CREEPY 2. The Queen sounds drunk. 3. The animation looks like a 10 yr old PC game cutscene 4. Nothing happens.

Found out it's a voiced over French film...maybe it's better in French - different dialogue or something? Absolutely terrible in English.

I just watched this movie last night with my neice. I actually liked it, because it followed closely the fairy tale written by Charles Perault. The score of the movie was also very nice, not to mention hilarious. Just because it's not the one you're looking for and you're disappointed, doesn't mean you could trash it that harshly. Why don't you try and see it before you hate it to the guts? There are still some people who like classics, not just the parodies.
