And Ben Moody wrote this about a story (fictional...) about a little girl that lost her best friend. Although Amy did write the bridge, and it may be about her sister.

I am a violist, and am constantly surrounded by violinist in my orchestra class. Violas to me have a nicer, broader sound that violins can't produce as far as I've heard so far. Also every C and G seems to have a little ring to it that I can only hear on viola.

I know exactly what you mean! I'm a viola major (clearly, LoL) and I can hear just the generic timbre of the viola. Rich, lush, deep, rosy. It's a very maroon color, as far as tone color goes.
