@vsosoftware: i was adding both files by clicking on the green button thinking they would automatically merge together, the full film was converted but only the 1st half burned to disk for some reason, anyway ive done it again following your video instructions and it worked fine
I tried to burn a DVD that was around 40 minutes long and it worked BUT the video quality is extremely poor and jutters everywhere. What can I do about this??
Hello, this is too vague, I suggest writing to the technical support team and they will be able to provide precise help in regards to your specific problem.
thank you very much for this tutorial, my mum asked me fot wuthering heights and the only one i could find had 2 parts, using this tutorial helped me make it into one part. thanks again and 5/5
God Damm! I never new this feature existed! I've been using allsorts of different programs for merging avi's then using this to burn as one. This will be a real time saver for me. Thanks
ok, heres the deal, im trying to convert 2 videos together because i downloaded them but they were seperate and then i want to have it on my desktop because after that im going to use this other program to convert that single video to my ipod so right now im wondering if i merged those 2 videos together will an icon appear on my desktop? and can i convert them to my ipod with another program or is that all i can do with it? Please respond back , anybody , i really need some help with this thanks
well you can merge the files and it will be stored in a folder as one vts file in your working folder, generally: My documents/ConvertXtoDVD/name of file. I would think there is some ipod software that would allow you to merge....instead of using ConvertXtoDVD
Hi, I have a movie flies which are ISO flies and when joint it together it became VOB flies and size up to 7.82 GB and up to 8 hours running time in the whole one disc. how can i shrink it ? Can I burn it through ConvertxtoDvd? and what should I do with duration? if I click Auto it comes up to 480 minutes. Please Help!!!! Thank you so much.
anyhow if you file are vobs you can run them through ConvertXtoDVD, which will compress the file automically to fit on the target size specified in the settings tab/ DVD specification. Too much compression may give you bad quality though-you need to try to know. Do you have the possibility to burn onto a Double layer disk?
ConvertXtoDVD doesnt support iso as an entry format.
whats the difference between adding a file and mergining a file. like if i had a seinfeld episode and want to put in another epidosode, which should i use( i just want them to play without a pause)(continually)
merge is really to make 2 videos segments to become only 1.
for episodes, you have another option ( recommanded ) to play them one after one, but you can keep an episode from the DVD menu. ( each episode stays an episode )
you can playback them one after one, but it is not required to merge files to accomplish that.
Hi, I appreciate your work. (Y) I having trouble with the subtitle. I merge 2 video and when its done converting, It doesen't show up the sub on the 2nd video.
you cannot merge subtitle streams with ConvertXtoDVD, you need a subtitle stream for each file you are converting, even if you merge video files (you also need two subtitle files to merge).
Finding subtitles isn't that difficult you should be able to find some that match the videos you have.
here are more comments/questions or suggestions...is it possible for us to burn the DVD movies and let it start right away without having to select "the file" to let it start? cuz it seems like i have to select them first in order to play the movie
now that i am merging those files...i want to merge 25 files to one DVD and still it have to be done manually by adding the EACH FILE at a time...can you guys make it in such a way that we can just "select multiply files" to merge at once...so we save time from click the merge button 25 times for doing 25 files? is this possible? i have more comments and suggestions as i experience using this software
You the 2nd request that we have had for this. The last request we had was over 6 months ago. If this was highly requested we would consider modifying the merge function, but for now the option I wrote about below seems more appropriate for your case.
this is excellent! i was having trouble doing this until i see your instructional steps! way a go girl friend! well you know why we would want to consider merging several files? even 5 or 10 files? i want to merge 25 files in one DVD disc because these files are short....only 10 MB and i do not want to have to finish watching and go all the wayyy back and select second file to play...you understand what i am saying? cuz everything 1st file is done...we need to manually select 2nd file...etc....
Also note that you can also simply check "Play the titles one after the other" in the settings or in the treeview under 'DVD Options' (on top of screen after a file has been added).
one at a time. I guess we never imagined a case where someone would want to merge a whole lot of files. The other difficulty is to make sure they merge in the write order chronologically.
Be careful, only files with similar formats and bitrates can be merged.

no unfortunately you cannot do that with DVD video, the format does not allow for this type of behavior.

yes of course, but in the DVD you create with ConvertXtoDVD you need to check
[x] auto-start Playback
under the treeview, by clicking on the + next to DVD options
