  • New speed record for my LX-2E. 75.7mph. Still only using a 19T pinion/51T spur. The LX-2E handles very nicely for a sub $200.00 chassis. The RX8/T8 2250 combo works awesome on 4-6S.

  • the the lx2e the same

  • @nicholas2090 Thanks for your interest.

I think the LX2e is better equipped then the lx1e. I believe that the chassis is the same they just used some different parts. IE bigger bore shocks. ect ect. LX1e or 2e Is a great buggy for your money.

  • Wires are so long Motor/ESC... Short is ok,

  • @xxackhorsexx Very true but I was only testing this out to make sure it was working. But you are right about the short wires.

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP

Ok thank you. Nice vid too. ;)

  • Awesome car. Just got mine put together today! Turnigy Trackstar 150A ESC, and 1800kv Hobbyking motor. Cant wait to get it running! What kind of steering servo you got in that thing??? Looks crazy fast!

  • @UGotKilledByACamper Congrats on your Purchase!!!!!!!!

This has a JR z9100s servo. and yes its too fast for the slight of hand driver... But if you can use it you can drive deeper and faster in the turns. I would recommend a SAVOX they are less money then JR and preform very well.

  • Thank you for all your help!

  • Hi there, thanks for your help, let me tell you what I i'm in. I bought a RC8be a futaba 4pks and a SAVOX SC-1256TG SERVO. Just need a go esc/motor combo to compete package. Are you saying the tacon 2150kv and track star 150a combo in better then the speed passion combo. P.S. DONT LIKE HPI OVER ASSOCIATED.

  • @90220jyb Thanks for the comment.

Very nice so far!!! I would say for budget minded the Tacon motor is very strong and mine has Plenty of power and its 59.00 bucks. You could either A buy a MMM ESC for 130-150 with it or try to get a Turnigy 150 amp one for 70.00. The issue is the Turnigy one is on back order and it took me a month to get mine in stock. As far as the speed passion one its strong but Im not sure of the durability of it. For 200 you can get Tacon motor and MMM ESC that a deal.

  • Hi there, how is the speed passion esc holding up so far? And would you recommend it for racing with the tekin RX8 in a race in side a new RC8Be.

  • @90220jyb Well thanks for your interest. In the 1/8th scale buggy class there is to much to consider. Now if you buy a say 400.00 roller RC8Be. and then spend 130.00 on a BL system and say 50 on servo. You could get a HPI vorza for the same money and it has the castle Mamba HP. My brother was in your same boat. So far my Tacon 2150kv motor 59.00 hobbypartz is doing very well in my savage conversion. AS is the Turnigy Track star 150a ESC. I really like the HPI Vorza for the money and what you get

  • You should shorten the motor wires. Shorter wires=less electrical resistance and a cleaner looking buggy.

  • @nicholas2090 Hello Ty for your input

I like to get all the parts I can from my LHS. Now if they dont have or cant get it I like A main or tower. Now for LOW cost lipos or chargers or ESC Motor servos You have to check out Hobbypartz They cant be beat for the deal they have.. They are a must for any hobby guy..

  • where do you get parts

  • How do think this buggy would do against your rc8 if the only difference was the chassis its self.(Same motor esc gearing tx/rx and servo.)

  • @MrMightyGuy Thanks for your comment.

I think it comes down to driving. The RC8 is more money and may handle slightly better but they both are very good at the track. Im pretty sure a few of my buddy's would beat me with my OFNA if I was driving my RC8Be due to they can out drive me im not as good as they are yet. All in all you cant beat the OFNA price point and it makes a great 1st 1/8th scale buggy. The tires it comes with are an all terrain tire there very hard and good for bashing not track

  • Hey man, nice video. How do you like it??? Im gettin one just for general bashing, and want to see someone's point of view that actually has it.

  • @UGotKilledByACamper Ty for your input.

This would be a great choice for bash/club racing or w.e u can toss at it. I have sold mine sadly to build my Savage project but I have my RC8Be buggy to race and play. And I didnt have a monster truck. The OFNA is good stuff no doubt and worth every bit of 190.00 for the roller. Good luck man and this is a very nice ride. It just made sense to have 1 buggy an 1 monster truck and not 2 buggys.

  • can you run one 2s battery?

  • @FU420B I think you can but it would be hella slow.

  • Comment removed

  • Hi do you have to run 2 2s lipos or can you run one 3s? if you can which plug would you use if thers 2

  • @FU420B Thank you for your input.

In the Manuel to set the ESC you can run 2 cell 3 cell or 4 cells. I called SP to ask about 5 and 6 cells they said it would be to much for the ESC to handle But in my Manuel it shows how to program the ESC for 5 and 6 cells... His reply was for the silver arrow version 3. mines version 2. As for the wire you can get an adapter to go from 2 plugs to 1 to run your 3 cell lipo pack. Thanks for your question and good luck!!

  • @FU420B Thank you for your input.

You have to read your ESC Manuel to see what battery's it can control and handle. If you dont have one call or email the manufacture. As far as the plug or plugs you can buy an adapter to 1 into 2 or 2 into 1. to use either one 4 cell lipo or 2x two cell lipos.

  • nice video :) i have the same seteup for my caster ex1 bugggy exept that i have the 2500kv version. i couldnt believe the power for the price! looking forward to more videos.

  • @casterracer Ty for your input.
