bagofsuck22! This is a dog-type gearbox. The gear places are changed: on fifth place is the 1; on the first is the 2; the second on the 3; the third on the 4 and on the the fourth is the 5 gear. Rally drivers usually uses the second and the third gear to powerslide, so that's why the gear distribution changed (shorter shift time to 2. and 3. gear)
@bagofsuck22, that car doesn't have a 5th gear. it's only got 4. as far as shifting a few gears down at once, I don't see the surprise or the strangeness in that. After all, it's a regular H pattern gearbox, not a sequential one. And the type of driivng he's doing almost requires you to do fast changes as opposed to smooth one-by-one shifting in normal driving.
