I've determined that this recording is neither the Deric Kennard transcription published by Schott, nor the Karl Scheit transcription published by Universal Edition (the two most widely available pieces of sheet music for this S.L. Weiss piece). Can you please tell me the name of the publisher and arranger for this version? I would very much like to find the sheet music for this piece.
This is a truly sterling performance. Your strength and passion are evident with each crystal clear note. Superb intonation and guitar tone. I think Weiss himself would be moved by this rendering. Bravo!
I could listen to this over and over...it's just so crisp and impassioned. His accelerando in the later measures is awesome...it builds to a climax that is like this rush. Awesome!
This is as good as any I've ever heard. I actually like it better than Christopher Parkening's version on the album "Parkening Plays Bach" (to answer that query). I want to look into other recordings of Lundestad; he has an amazing touch and tone.
In my opinion one of the best versions on youtube.Great play, great tempo,feeling.......beutiful.....at the level of julian bream,or parkening.....congratulations
Sven is awesome, he plays with such passion and feeling. Get the cd rendez vouz, one of the most touching pieces of music i have ever heard.
Best norwegian guitarst of all time.
I was lucky to attend to one of his concerts at skjeberg folkehøyskole. Hope you read this Sven, you are one of the most inspiring guitarplayers i have ever heard. After 10 years i still dont get tired of your work.
Tor, Thanks for posting this performance. I have heard so little from Weiss and this was certainly a great piece for me to listen to. Wonderful playing as well.

@Proudmonkey2 I'm not sure, but I think he plays his own arrangement! May be you should try to ask the professor. He has a facebook page.

best recording of this piece I've ever heard was Parkening on his Parkening plays Bach CD. This, however, was amazing as well!

I wonder if you could kindly give the exact name of the Parkening-CD you are referring to.

Julian Bream does this piece on his Baroque Guitar CD. His version is not nearly as ornamental as Sven's but it's still one of the best ever done.

Have you heard the Aexandre Lagoya version? Be ready for a shock. It has so many colours and a great pizzacato section played with all the fingers!

Superb articulation, with feeling for dramatic presentation. I suppose even Manuel Barrueco would smile in admiration. Bravo, maestro!
